I did a little research before buying this filter. I got mixed reviews which made me hesitant. BUT I decided to buy it and try it for myself.....I love it. The water is clean tasting. It no longers taste like chemicals. It used to taste really bad out of the tap. The flavoring is a really cool thing even my hubby likes it! One or two squirts in your water adds nice flavor. I don't like flavored water all the time and I was worried once someone used the flavor the glass of plain water would get a little flavoring but NO, it comes from 2 different places....pretty cool
I am please with it. You can totally smell the difference in the water. The taste is much better as well. The flavor is not for me. I've only tried the raspberry, but I can say I'm not too interested in tasting the other flavors. Overall, it does the job.
I love this product we were hesitant at first but got it just to see if my boys would drink it.They actually like drinking water now.I can even give it to my baby and not have to worry about chemicals. Only thing it is a bit bulky other than that highly recommend.
I really got tired of buyin g water & carring it upstairs so saw an ad about this product read the reviews and purchased it and well worth it.Like the taste of water and love the idea I can have different flavors.Was easy to install and just love it.
Like others, I too was hesitant in purchasing this item due to a friend having something similar with defects, but I decided to purchase it anyways The positives: 1) item does filter out most of the chemical taste, but not like reverse osmosis 2) filter life indicator 3) having the option of adding a little flavor to the water once in a while 4) easy installation and setup (<5 min) The negatives: 1) after installation, it leaks a little at the connection when faucet is on 2) the item is a little on the bulky side for my sink (apartment) Overall I am satisfied with the purchase. It's convenient to have filtered water at home and the ability to reuse bottles.
As soon as I purchased the faucet mount, I assumed that I would need a plumber. But I thought I could do it myself. So all I had to do was remove this little thing where the water comes out. After getting that off the box has a plastic bag where it has some washers. Getting that on was a snap! After that I screwed the purifier on and had my first sip. You could really tell the difference between unfiltered water and the Pur water. The rasperry water is by far the best thing I've ever tasted in my life!!! For only 7 cents a glass you will save a ton of money if you by the bottled water. If you are deciding wether to by this or not, I would do it again and again. When ever you buy this make sure to try all of the flavors. Peach and Rasperry are the best. Do NOT let anyone make you have any second thoughts about this. This is the BEST PRODUCT EVER!!!!!!!!!! :)
I had the regular 3 stage filter system but it started to leak at the base where you couldn't tighten it to even fix it. So i decided to upgrade. We buy a lot of the flavored water so i figure this would be convenient to have at home. I love it!! the flavor option is great!! you can adjust the flavor as you like. I have read some reviews saying that you have to add too many squirts of the flavoring to get it to taste good, but you have to remember It is FLAVORED WATER, not juice! it tastes just like the fruit20 water you buy at the store. the one thing i don't like is that I have to take the flavor cartridge out of the mount because i keep hitting the button and I'm afraid of wasting it. its so easy to hit that little button. otherwise no problems, installs easily. and is easy to operate. definitely purchase if you buy a lot of flavored bottled water.
I do like this Pur product for the use of filtering water, but not for the "flavor options" part. I didn't realize that the flavor included sweetener. I don't care for artificial sweeteners and I thought it was just a flavor essence. If you like Crystal Lite you'll like it. The flavor cartridges cost about $10 per 2-pack and say they provide 150 squirts. If you like the flavor to be of average strength it takes about 6-8 squirts for a 16 oz. glass with ice (and it doesn't always squirt when you press it.) that's about .25 a serving. It is very easy to change flavors. My husband didn't have too much trouble installing it though and it does save on water use with the built in flow restrictor. It looks nice and is very convenient to use, especially when filling a large container. The filter changetime flasher is also a nice help. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.
Well I saw this on tv and thought it was expensive, but to my suprise it was priced rather good, so I bought it. I went to put it on the sink but none of the connectors fit, so I had to buy a entire new faucet which cost another $50.00 and about an hour. Once I was able to get it to work, it was nice. I can choose the amount of flavor or none at all. I would suggest buying diffrent flavors because the one it came with was not a good tast for me. It is made of plastic so it seems like it will break easy if handled rough. it is easy to replace the refills. overall I like it because its alot more easy then to mix the flavor powder into my bottled water. It also has saved me money because I am on a well. The water tast alot better then it did without a filter. The refills seem rather expensive so I shop around for them online and at auction sites.
The first one I bought cracked the first time I had to change the filter. It broke at the point where it mounts to the sink and started leaking water when the faucet was on. It also had a defective battery. Switched it for a new one. It lasted about a year if that and broke at the same spot. Very poorly constructed.
