This is a very nice tank perfect for a Betta fish.
though the 1st 2 sent to me were cracked, Walmart was great in sending replacements. when unit #3 came, it was fine & my 2 goldfish love it !!!! perfect size, perfect shape, perfect deal !
My daughter loves this for her beta
I've had a 2 of these several years ago and really liked them. I got this one so I could have an a aquarium that wasn't too big and very maintenance. The hood is better than the ones they used to have, the clear plastic lid is built in to prevent water from getting on the light. It comes with a 7 watt bulb. Air pump is very quiet and makes beautiful bubbles. Under gravel filler is great. I like that it's light weight but durable. Just add gravel, ornaments, conditioned water, and small fish, you have a perfect little sea world.
Arrived nicely in a safe package, with pump, hood, and the light, sure you need to get your own sand, or rocks, and plants, or plastic plants, its a great place if you have a bunch of baby fish, like my guppy has, and I separated them from my larger fish. it is cute, and nice, and it doesn't take much room, if you want to start having fish, it is a great started and the cost is very reasonable to me.
Granddaughter loved her new aquarium. Hexagon shape makes it easy to view fish and as well as being an attractive piece to have on her desk.
I bought this tank for my betta about three weeks ago, and I have loved it ever since I got it! Before this tank, I had a plain 1 gallon tank and wanted to give my fish a nicer home but I didn't have a ton of space for a huge tank and I think this tank is absolutely perfect for my situation as well as many others like for a kids room, an office, or a dorm room! It works well, I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever and it's a great tank for the price!
My daughter loves this fish tank. Easy to clean and it's the right size for a beta.
I purchased a couple of these to upgrade the bowls of two of my male betta fish a few days ago, and so far I am very pleased with the tanks. They serve their purpose well, leave enough room for a few decorations while still leaving enough space for the fish to swim comfortably, look nice and sturdy, and don't take up much room despite still being large enough for a small fish or two. They are overall very nice, especially for the 15 dollars I payed for them. The tanks do, however, have a few flaws like anything else. The tank hood was my main concern - for one thing, they weren't the advertised black but instead one was dark blue and the other a sparkly aqua. This isn't too big a problem, of course, but I just wish there would have been some indication that they could be another color since I went and bought a few decorations that look nice with black but not blue. Another thing with the hood is that it has some 'bumps' on the part that connects with the tank - however, there aren't any notches on the tank itself that match up with these, so the hood is -very- hard to fit properly on the tank. As a final thing, the light on the hood heats up the water when it's in use for a while, which is good in the wintertime but I would suggest leaving it off during the warmer months. I also have -no- idea how the undergravel 'filter' is supposed to work - it just looks like a black plate and doesn't plug into anything. As a final thing, the included airpump was way too strong for the tank, and I ended up having to use another one. It's overall a very nice tank, especially for the price, and the few flaws it has aren't too major. Would definitely recommend.~ :3
i have had one of these for about a year and i have to change the water every two days. i had only one swordtail inside and there is no filter. the tank says that it has an undergravel filter but all it has is a air stone and an under gravel plate but no filter. i had put a foam inset into the tube for a filter this helped me only have to change the water every week. the hoods light is also so hot that it will heat the water so you have to leve it off. insted i put a led nightlight inside. it also cracked like glass when i droped it into a sink to clean. the air pump is too powerful for this to so it sounds like a buzzer, i just got a smaller one.
