I bought a Phillips Baby Monitor for my Nephews baby and they were really happy with it.
I had no desire to have a camera in our sweet girl's room. Instead, we chose this monitor due to all the great reviews. And I've not been disappointed. Though the first one quit working, Phillips Avent was quick to send out a replacement at no charge and in two days. Thank you for the great customer service and product.
My last baby monitor had so much static on it that I couldn't hear anything but the static. I've also tried a couple other products, but this product was easy to program, easy to set up and works like a charm. It is quiet as a mouse when it comes to static, but very clear when I need to hear. I am at one end of my house and the monitor is in the other end (approx. 90 feet and through 6 walls) and it's clear as a bell with no static! This is an awesome product!!!!! I highly recommend it!!!!
Its a great device, love the feature of setting teh sensitivity as well as the temperature set. The melody it plays is helpful for sleep training (We dont use it for anything else, unlike the melodies in her swing). No problems with connection or battery, highly recommend it.
I returned the Graco I had bought from another retailer three weeks earlier - lots of problems. The Phillips is great, though. Much better built, great features, excellent clarity!
My husband and I did a lot of research before purchasing a baby monitor for our first baby. We didn't want anything too hi-tech and decided to get this model and absolutely love it. We're now expecting our second child and were worried about finding another monitor that we could use that wouldn't interfere with this one we already had. I found out that you can have two of these and they should not interfere with each other - and we've ordered a second one for our next baby. We hope it does work since we love this monitor.
We are so glad we purchased this monitor. We had picked another one before just because it had a camera but it did not work in the basement when the baby was upstairs in the bed room. Though this monitor does not have a camera, but the reception is excellent and crystal clear. When you turn on the receptor and the transmitter is turned off, it beeps to inform you. It also has night night feature, which we probably will not use, but it's there. The 4-5 lalabye rhymes are good and soothing. It provides temperate option, if you want to use it. The best thing we like about this is the clear voice quality and reception.

Purchased to monitor elderly patient in downstairs bedroom. Works very well... Sound is very clear, monitors room temperature well, and has a night light. Best feature beyond sound quality is the rechargeable batteries in the receiver that you carry with you.
I wanted an affordable baby monitor that did not have a lot of static and feedback. This monitor is off when the baby isn't making any noise and even when it does turn on the sound is clear. You can also adjust if you want to hear every sound your baby makes or if you just want to hear when he gets loud.
