Our monitor had broken and we needed a new one. I didn't want something expensive because our child is a toddler now (I'm just paranoid). This monitor works great! My husband and love it! There's even a little night light on it, which our son loves! Lol
I really needed a monitor for my daughter's room so that while she sleeps or naps I can finish last minutes chores and things without having to strain to hear if she is crying.
We originally received the AngelCare monitor for our baby shower. It was a nightmare! Once our son got older and started moving around in his crib, the alarm would go off if he wasn't in the middle of the crib! We returned it and got this monitor instead. We figured that we didn't need anything fancy and this does the job. I got the model with 2 receivers so I can leave one in the bedroom and have one throughout the house for where ever I needed it. You can plug it in or use batteries. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a standard baby monitor.
We originally received the AngelCare monitor as a baby shower gift. When we put our son in his crib at 5 months, we finally set up the monitor. We used it one night and exchanged it for this simple monitor. We didn't need anything fancy. The AngelCare monitor was super sensitive and when our son would move from the center of the crib, the alarm went off. This monitor works great! We can choose which channel we want to use and with the second receiver, I can leave one in the bedroom and take the other one where ever I need it in the house.
I'm a new mom, and I got this product from my friend, so it is very helpful because our house has 2 stories when I stay on the 1st floor I can hear my baby when she wakes up.
I read the reviews before I buy anything, its just what i was expecting. I can hear my 9 months baby breath or even moving while he is asleep. Exactly what i need/wanted. & great price also.
I bought this monitor because my son's room is upstairs, and if I need to do something downstairs like wash clothes or sit outside, this provides a connection to him. I can hear him even when he's simply turning over!
My first monitor (not this model) I got at a baby shower had finally died and I was desperately in need of another. I love love love this monitor and brand. It's very clear and even has a nice glow for my son :)
Picks up more of the background sounds, such as a/c, much better than picking up the sound of my daughter. I have a hand me down cheap monitor that works much better.
It was so loud and static-y I couldn't sleep. If I turned it down low enough to stop the static, I could barely hear the baby. I tried all 4 channel combinations but nothing worked. It was also really awkward to turn off and on. I should have know anything this cheap would not work. I returned it. Spend a few extra dollars if you can and get something better, this thing was lousy.
