My last phone was an almost smart phone. This G2 is a well thought out advance in technology. The quad core takes care of any applications. Easily I can keep all appointments and websites stored. The knock on , knock off feature is not only cool but keeps for accidentally dialing.
Until the unveiling of the G3, I can say without reservation this is by far the best phone I have ever used. The battery life at 3000mh is idea for all day moderate use, i like the placement of the control rocker on the back of the phone, the storage is sufficient & as we all move towards cloud storage, it is intuitive to move away from sd needs. The HD quality is outstanding, the processor is faster than most devices i have worked on my entire life, i find the interface "likeable" having transitioned from LG Motion. I have found the build quality and product excellent in every aspect a consumer is interested in. If you are an android person this phone is as good as it gets in my opinion, if i have a choice, my choice moving forward will be to always have an LG product, be it my mobile device or my other consumer goods, well done LG, very well done.
Hands down best cellphone ive ever owned, i had the galaxy note 2 and 3 before and the size was really difficult to handle, it was like carrying and ipad hit and missed buttons frustrating. Now whoa la! Lg g2 does the same as the other 2 but better, super fast no lag, screen its super, battery life incredible , features and tricks are amazing has some much customizability (you can even customize your icons) Love it , im a video nut i watch movies on my cell and its just incredible i dont even touch my tablet anymore
I selected this phone based on early reviews of performance and screen size. I have been amazed by the long battery life. I am an avid golfer and have tried GPS apps on earlier smart phones, but found that the phone would die halfway through the round. After trying the Skydroid app on this phone for an 18 hole round, I still had 65% battery at the end of the round! Amazing stuff and extremely happy with the phone overall.
This is a wonderful Android. The battery life is fabulous! The camera abilities surpass many other phones and cameras for that matter. I love the app capabilities and notable features built in such as the note pad and did I mention the camera? Oh and the screen size is awesome!! Great job LG!
This is, no doubt, the best phone I've ever had. The LG engineers and UI designers did an excellent job. I quite like having the control buttons on the back, out of the way. The camera takes very nice photos. The "knock-on/off" feature is very helpful (and I swear after Kit-kat works better than before). The camera is good. I love the Quick Settings, the Qslide, and the slide beside thing (though I haven't gotten in the habit yet of using that last, once I retrain myself it will be very useful for things like LastPass). I have had NO problem with the KitKat update whatsoever. The battery life remains excellent, and is perhaps even improved? And most important: the call quality is great. With my previous smartphone I basically couldn't use it in my own house because the verizon signal wasn't good enough. This phone makes a clear solid connection every time which lasts through even the longest calls, from even the most problematic room in my house (my office, with all the wifi etc). All this in a great form-factor. The screen is big enough to actually read something (for my aging eyes), but the phone is small enough, and slim and light enough, to easily carry in my tiny purse or a pocket. And is comfortable in the hand. I hope folks from LG are reading all the rave reviews on this phone from around the 'net and are passing it on to all the many, many people at LG who I know helped create this.
I really liked my previous phone, an LG Lucid. This phone continues on that fine tradition. The battery life is much better than my old phone, even though I can do more and faster with a much bigger and brighter screen. The camera is very good. Memory is not expandable, but I think 8GB will hold me. I like the fact that there are no buttons to bump on the edges of the phone, but I am still not 100% sold on the buttons on the back. They need to feel more different and I think they are too close to the camera lens. Other than that, I am very happy so far.
I have not been disappointed with this product yet! The resolution of the screen is fantastic! Great streaming quality. The camera can capture the best moment in high resolution along with videos. And finally the battery life is just amazing. I can go all day without being stuck next to a plug! I also admire the feature where the text message pops up in the corner for you to reply to, which means I can stream netflix and text at the same time! Perfect phone.
Ever since I got the 4G I have been annoyed by the battery. It takes forever to charge; in use, it sits at 100% for a while, then once it starts to decrease, it goes down fast even without direct usage. I was using it as a GPS in the car, plugged in, but it still lost charge until I turned it off. - That is totally different from the iPhone, which charges when plugged into the car's power even while in use. - Pain!!! - Also, the touch screen does not always respond.
I bought two of these - one for myself and one for my son. My son's had to quickly be sent back as the digitizer (touch screen) went bad. Both have very poor GPS. It takes way to long to lock in GPS signals. I've seen discussions on-line as to whether this is a hardware or software problem. I know once I get a lock I can find a dozen or more satellites, so my money is on software. Even when GPS is locked in it can easily lose direction at an intersection and become confused. Overall, phone has some nice features, but it is a bad sign when problems such as these are there from day one.
