This is a refurbished treadmill. Let's be clear on what the means. Somebody had this out of the box and assembled at some point. Then it got shipped back to the factory, quality checked, re-packed, and sold to you. It is going to look used, complete with scratches and scuff marks. The only difference from buying it at a garage sale down the street is that quality check and the manufacture's warranty. That said, it's a great buy. Seems as durable as the treads at the gym. It works well right out of the box. It has all the bells and whistles I need. My only complaint is the shipping box it came in seems to be the original. As beat up as it was, I have to say I was quite nervous when I picked it up at my local store. A fresh box at the factory might make people feel a bit better about this, guys. Otherwise it's a solid win!
