I am enjoying the umbrella and the price was great! Assembly was fairly easy and it is a sturdy umbrella base. The only drawback and it may not be a drawback for everyone, is that you cannot angle the umbrella as with some models I've seen. Moving it to one side or the other does not always provide shade where it is needed.
The umbrella is well made and for the price it is a great value. We have a fire pit table and the off-set umbrella works perfectly. It was easy to put together and to put it up and down is a snap! The large umbrella gives everyone perfect coverage from the elements. The large base gives it adequate stability.
I just put my umbrella together and it was so easy! I am not the best at "construction", but this was as easy as it gets! I am not sure about the screws into plastic issue yet - My base is currently water filled, but I will be replacing with sand. Any umbrella can have issues in wind - I will probably take the canopy off when weather demands. I am always pleased when something goes together so quickly and easily!
Excellent item for the price. Movable and large enough to provide a lot of shade. I open the shade over our table, hammock, or rocking chairs. It is stable. We have strong wind that channel down our canyon and it amazingly has not tipped over (I close the umbrella). It is a more tasteful umbrella than the type that sit in the middle of a hole in a patio table.
Well made, easy to assemble, sturdy, durable, easy to operate, would expect to pay much more. Fill base w/water. Just wish it rolled sideways - only forward and back. Definitely recommended. Saw similar products for 2-4x price. Easy pick-up at store.
This umbrella is nice because it stands on its own. The problem I have is that I need to have either my father or husband move it around for me. It is a bit akward to wheel, and doesn't move all that easily. And depending on the time of day, I have to move it often to keep my son in the shade. otherwise it is a good product.
The product itself is great - the way it is put together IS AWEFUL! The arms of the umbrella are made with steel but the arms are screwed into a plastic base at the top of the umbrella. Any strong gust of wind or the umbrella falls over - the the screws rip right out of the plastic base. I know-I bought this product twice and it happened - once when the umbrella was opened and once when it was closed!. Manufacturer needs to replace the plastic base at the top with a steel one!
I purchased this umbrella about a month ago. It looks very nice and set up easily. Unfortunately, when I opened the umbrella, there was a small rip at the edge of the material. At that point I was still satisfied with the umbrella despite the fact that the base is very large, and the umbrella does not pivot, so it is difficult to place it near your furniture. After having the umbrella a few weeks, a very mild breeze caused the umbrella to topple, and it no longer will raise or lower. I plan to return the item immediately.
We just received 2 of these umbrellas and couldn't wait to get one together on our deck. Well, we're still waiting! When we tried to open the umbrella, one of the support arms was broken. Then when we were repacking it into the box, the center pole cover came off! I have NEVER been so disappointed.....Save your money and put it on a better product.
Sorry to say but this item is very poor quality. We ordered it online hoping to shade our pool this summer. When it arrived the box was damaged. Inside we found HEAVY parts that were poorly machined. The umbrella's fabric stitched in a sloppy fashion and I could tell that it would soil easily. Absolutely no fabric guard on it. There should have been hardware but there was none. No instructions or even diagrams. Needless to say we returned it promptly.
