Better than Paper

We actually purchased this for my niece. She prefers Mater to princesses anyway. She really wanted a guitar and everywhere there seemed to be a push for the Paper Jamz cardboard guitars. She really wanted a real one with actual strings. I am so glad that Wal-Mart had this one on sale. She loves it. Note- the strings are really not tuned at all… and her baby brother broke one of the strings after only 1 week… so, construction may not be the greatest, but this serves the purpose for an introduction… by the way, she is 14! But this is what she wanted… not a real student guitar, but a real instrument that can be plucked and played.

I didn't but the mater one I bought the lightining mcqueen one and he loves it. the only problem i have is that when i bought it i spend $35 on it and its on the internet for $15. But when i first opened it i tryed to tune it and one of the strings fell out but i got it fixed and it works great and he loves it.

I bought this for my 6 year old son and it was great because it came in the whole Cars theme. It plays just like the real thing too, only smaller for kids. I am extremely happy with this purchase. Great product for the price.

I ordered this guitar for my 6 year old nephew for Christmas. I received it within a week of placing my order, and I was able to pick it up from a nearby Walmart with no problem. My nephew absolutely loves this guitar. It's the perfect size for his build, and it only weighs a few pounds. Once he opened it, he couldn't put it down! :-)

We bought this for our son a week ago and he LOVES it!! We took it to a local guitar store and had it tuned. For the price, the technician said it seemed to be a decent guitar. He said, as with most guitars, that the strings may have to be replaced in a month or two. However, it didn't come with any picks so you may want to purchase some if you're giving it as a gift.

Good quality in material, but doesn't tune

I bought this product knowing that it wasn't going to be "tuned" to play. What can you expect for $15? The quality in the materials is better than I thought for the value, though. My 3 1/2 year old son loves Disney Cars', Tow Mater, so I bought this for him. I enjoy playing the guitar, too, so I hoped this would spark some interest for him to play in the future. Overall, you get what you pay for, but don't buy it expecting much from it. If your child is a Tow Mater fan, then he or she will like it.

Not worth it

Guitar seemed nice at first, then went to tune it, the strings started falling out of the guitar. Remaining strings sound okay for a student basic guitar, I did like the string protectors on the head, but considering the high E string broke within 5 minutes of opening the box, not too thrilled.

There is no sound in this thing

Bought the guitar for my kid to be the first one to learn to play. When I tuned it standard way according to the piano notes, the sound of the guitar was horribly dull and squeaky. Maybe it is a good toy for someone to abuse and play with, but not for learning to play. Returned the product. It has nice picture though...

Sounds TERRIBLE!!

I don't know anything about guitars, but my four-year-old son is very musical and wanted a guitar. I knew it wouldn't be the best because it was only $15 or $20 (I can't remember now). However, this sounds awful! I can't even explain it. I'm planning on returning it and spending an extra $10 or so to get a better one some place else...
