I wanted to upgrade to an 88 key digital piano. This digital piano has a realistic piano sound and keyboard feel. It is compact enough for a small home, but has everything you will need. I bought the optional 3 pedal unit from another on-line store, but it is not needed because the the sustain pedal that comes with the digital piano works very well. The assembly was very easy - less than 30 minutes to assemble. The digital piano is a little heavy so it is not a truly portable unit, but it can be easily removed from the provided stand if you need to move it. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and enjoy playing it when I have the time.
may not have as many voice choices as other models, but great product. We use it in our church.
We are enjoying our new kwyboard. My son is loving it. It was easy to assemble. Good and stirdy.
I am totally impressed with the Yamaha quality and engineering of the DGX-630. I already have a Clavinova and bought the 630 for our place up north. With the weighted keys and the strings that I can add, I enjoy playing the 630 better than the Clavinova. Put some strings with Rachmaninoff's "Romance" song and you'll see what I mean.
I love my new keyboard. I haven't even started with all of the fancy stuff but I really love the feel and the sound of this keyboard. Even though there are a bunch of buttons I'll have to read about, they make it really easy for the average user to have the basics readily avaliable.
Needed to move up to an 88 key keyboard never realizing such a realistic "feeling" portable existed. I tried out the YPG-635 at the local music store and knew right away I wanted it. After some research I discovered the DGX-630 is the same unit only the "non-music store" model and most important a hundred bucks cheaper, why they do that is beyond me. I ordered it shipped site to store and that worked great ( and free ). This thing is phenomonal for the price. The available features are amazing and it sounds fantastic. I would agree with some reviews that it could be a bit louder at top volume but thats a small concession. Highly reccommended
This keyboard is a nice balance for those beginning learning and those with experience. It is basically one step from purchasing a real piano, yet has many features to allow you to create your own songs. The learning features could use some improvement, but all the other features are outstanding.
