[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I ordered. This, I was expecting a spray can but what they sent me was 4 gallons of the bullseye 123. This was a nice surprise. I gave 2 cans to my daughter for her projects and I'm using the other for a primer in my rv before I paint.
Used on outdoor wooden fence posts. Only needed one coat of primer on bare wood followed by one coat of colored paint. If using darker colors of paint I would have the primer tinted for better results.
We have trim around our windows and it's made out of a metal framework which after wear and water on the house will tend to get rust spots in some areas even though it's painted. I found this product and it's fantastic. It's super thick so it doesn't go as far as you would expect for the quart size. But the thickness makes sense when you think about what it's made to do. The primer coated the trim work and filled any holes that were present. It dried very quickly and we were able to paint over it the same day. I will definitely be buying again.
Best bonder: Zinsser Bulls Eye-1-2-3!! I'm very happy with this product. It helped me complete painting bathroom old-ripped laminate countertop project with ease. I painted Behr semi-gloss Natural White after this primer, and coated the countertop with Behr clear gloss polyurethane. Used Wooster 4½ fabric roller each step. One qt of Zinsser primer was more than enough.
Wow a pleasure to work with. No horrid odors and it dries fast. I used two coats on very dark furniture then used chalk paint over it. Worked great. Ordered more for another item I am going to do. Just think it cleans up easily with soap and water if you get it on anything.
Fantastic. Sticks great. Good coverage. Instructions do say you can add a small percentage of your main paint color to get a fuller coverage. Dries quickly but not so much you can't work with it.
I have used this primer often through the last several years. Always good results.
New to primer, 1st time owning a home. It really didn't make much of a difference. Still needed more than 1 coat. Did top without primer, did bottom with primer. 2 coats each, they look exactly the same. Probably won't purchase for any further uses.
Not as good as advertised .
Can of primer was opened. I haven't any primer. And both cans of spray paint was coated in primer. I don't have a return address.
