This TV is a great size for over our fireplace....picture is beautiful in HD...size is perfect for us. They suggested a sound bar but we do not need it. The sound is great. Hookup was easy and we were replacing a six year old LG 50". Cabinet is much smaller, but we love the TV.
Great product great value love it
This TV arrived on schedule and the site to store staff helped us load it up. The TV was easy to set up and works great. The picture is clear and beautiful. This TV replaced a rear projection TV and there is no comparison to the beautiful picture.
The only thing that would make this a better tv is if it had a third or even fourth HDMI input but its really not important. Overall this is a great bang for your buck. Unfortunately mine showed up with a shattered screen but Walmart exchanged it in the store with no problem.
I bought this TV online about a week ago...It was easy to install and bigger than I was expecting. Got a great deal on this one...LOVE IT!!! The sound is ok but I will get surround sound or sound bar because I want more of a theater sound and I like LOUD ....
LG's picture quality is top shelf with the higher priced TV's, this one is all you need in a good quality TV. It's picture is terrific and the sound is getting better but always use a sound bar with these anyway. It's light weight and slim design, I wise purchase on my part, my next TV will be an LG.
This is the 4th Flat Screen and first LG. The picture is excellent. The sound quality far exceeds a previous 47" Sony, 37" Toshiba and a 32" Sceptre. This is just a nice TV. I compared all brands at the 55" level, along with the previous reviews on the LG, which were right on. I wondered about the base sound. Sound is more than adequate. It is good volume at 19, where on my previous Toshiba, I had to have the volume at 100 most of the time to get a sound I could hear. I will ge around to hooking up the surround sound eventually just for more of a theater effect. Wish it had a power light so I could tell when it is on and off, especially when finishing a dvd or streaming through the Bluray. That's really minor compared to the great picture and sound. I almost went with a known brand name, but some of the reviews were a concern. Not only did I get a great 55" but for about $200 less than a similar name brand. Easy to setup, adjust and use. It's a winner.
Beautiful color and clarity is why I love LG. This set isn't as feature rich as the LG Cinema 3d 47 inch tv I bought last May, but all I need is picture and I wanted it bigger. I wasn't prepared for the difference in the settings menu from my 47 inch, so I almost lost my mind when I couldn't adjust the picture to full screen from the q.menu. I finally found the 1-16 adjustment settings in the settings>picture>aspect ratio and clicked 'right' and there it was. Amen.
Cannot beat the price for the size and quality. Great choice for a 2nd HDTV.
This is a great tv except for 1 major issue. It does not allow usb video function. It only allows pictures and music. Why bother putting a usb in its place in that case. My camera comes with its own av jacks to plug into any tv and I can play music from any player hooked up to my tv. would be happy if there was a software update for this until then can't say its worth buying!
