Great label maker, take your time and read the instructions and you'll have a much better experience. With all that being said I think they could still do a better job at eliminating excessive label waste, yes you have options but they don't go far enough to eliminate waste. Yes I would recommend this labret maker, seems most of if not all label markers generate some level of label waste.
I first used this model at work and found it very easy to use. I decided to purchase one for home use after leaving that job. I was a bit nervous to choose this model after reading some other reviews, but decided to take a chance. Mine has worked great for me and I haven't had any issues so far. The screen is not backlit, which I knew about from my experience using it at work. This isn't a problem for me personally, but people should just be aware of that fact before buying.
Using on my files and labeling chargers and cords that I have been confused which goes with which mechanical item. Works great and easy to use w/o instructions. (I hate instructions)
There's a new commercial out that asks "Why do moms get to be the only ones, that know where everything is" So true. It gives you multiple font choices, banners
I like the shape, Plus it's very user-friendly. I also find it nice that it will do borders around your words: there seems to be about 100 different borders to choose from. < even a princess themed. originally bought it to label my spices and organize my paperwork but I find it really handy around the house in the kids rooms too! I also like that it comes with the option to plug it into the wall I put in three AAA batteries which makes it very mobile.

Overall, this is a great label maker. My only complaint is the amount of tape that precedes and proceeds the print. It is a lot of waste, especially considering the cost of the tape. For dollar conscious folks, this may be a deterent to purchasing this label maker.
This labeler works good. It makes clear, easy-to-read labels, and it can be programmed with different font types, sizes, and special characters. I don't like the display because there is not enough contrast between what you've typed and the background - makes it very hard to read. I bought this because I use one at work and it has been very reliable.
these P-touch are great. they keep me organized. the tape lasts a long time and sticks well
I think I really would have liked this label maker if I could see the screen. Even at its highest contrast setting (which is nearly the same as the lowest contrast setting), I cannot see the screen readout without tilting the unit and using a magnifying glass. My eyes are good with my contacts in, so I don't think it's my eyesight. I wonder if I have a bad unit because I didn't see this issue in other reviews. I am disappointed to say the least.
