Everyone in our household uses a sonicare toothbrush. It is important that my daughters use a sonicare as well. They have had no new cavities since using their sonic care. My only complaint is the way the toothbrush head attaches to the toothbrush. If it is dropped it can detach and not vibrate correctly...that is what happened to our first one.
The Sonicare for Kids is an easy-to-use electronic toothbrush. The battery remains charged for long periods. My children liked the option to choose the face plate color. Both children brush longer with the Sonicare than they did with standard toothbrushes. The only negative so far is that I may need to order brushheads via the mail as I have not found them at the store where I bought the Sonicare for Kids. However, the increased length of brushing time as well as the well-charged battery in this toothbrush make that a very small concern. We like the Sonicare for Kids.
I love this toothbrush! Purchased two - one for a 9 yr old and one for a 4 year old. They both brush their teeth for longer now; and the 9 yr old will do it for the full two minutes! There is a feature which allows you to ease in to the full two minutes over a month of brushing. Still working with the 4 year old, but the brushing that he is getting is better than with a regular toothbrush. There is a little song that plays when you're done brushing, and a buzzing which tells you when to move to the next section of your mouth. It is an investment for this toothbrush, but I know it will save me money at the dentist in the long run!
We used to have a battery operated toothbrush for our daughter. After 3 months (and many batteries) it was time to buy a new one. We saw the Sonicare for Kids and bought it immediately. We have several Sonicare toothbrush users in our home. We were happy to find one for our youngest child. This product delivers the same high quality cleaning we experience with our adult version. The only suggestion we have is to make the replacement heads available by size as opposed to the mixed pack.
I bought this for my 7 year old daughter and she loves it. I downloaded the app for her that goes with the toothbrush. She really loves the app. She loves to brush with the character. I think it was also great you can pick different stickers to go on it so I was able to let her decorate it so she could make it her own. I just love that she loves to brush now.
Love the toothbrush, the precision in cleaning tough areas, the design for little hands, the timing, perfect size for a kid! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the choices in colors, there is no pink, and that is the favorite color for almost all girls.
My dentist recommended this toothbrush for my daughter who is about to get braces. Works great at keeping her teeth in good shape. Wish it had the sterilizer like another adult model to help keep it free of germs.
I purchased 3 Sonicare for Kids toothbrushes. The brush heads are too hard for children to pull off. The metal pin on the base that the brush heads attach to has become so loose on two of them within 4 to 6 months of purchase that we can no longer use them. On the third purchase, we cannot remove the brush heads without using something to lever them off. After the third purchase we did get one base replaced free of charge from Sonicare but I would not purchase another Sonicare Kids toothbrush.
alas, the product seems fine, but my daughter doesn't like it and so refused to use it after the first week. Not sure why. We'll try again in a month or so.
Since my 10 year old competitor's toothbrush finally died and that company no longer made the toothbrush I had loved, I had to look for another. After much research I found the Philips Sonicare for Kids. The Philips Sonicare for Kids is the perfect design in that it has both a diamond head shaped toothbrush head and is small in size, both of which I was needing as that is the only type of brush head style that I can use. I have a very small month so normal adult size toothbrushes do not fit, and round, rotary head brushes do not work for me. I also needed a toothbrush that did not vibrate as strongly as the adult Philips (at 40,000), so I chose the Kid's since it is stated that it only vibrates at 20,000. I found that is too much for me. I have very sensitive gums and a health condition and the frequency of this vibration was too strong. I also found that there was little to no difference between the 2 modes of action. They seem equally as strong and harsh. Therefore, I can not use the toothbrush. I am still in need a of good toothbrush. Very disappointing since the design and shape of the brush head and handle were perfect.
