The strings alone cost as much as this pineapple ukulele. I don't know why they chose to lump it in under the description of a solid top concert ukulele with a preamp. It's none of those things. It's a nice, laminate soprano at an unbelievable price. The fret ends are sharp and need attention, but for the price I can't deduct a star. I'm buying a second one now, just because.
This is a beautiful and super affordable ukulele. I originally bought the same one months earlier on sale (elsewhere) for $30. It was the cheapest price at the time. When i saw these for $10.99, i bought 4 of them for gifts. Like the previous reviewer said, i had some with the metal frets being sharp and needing sanding down. Not a big deal to me, i can easily sand down. Everyone who has seen them wants one even if they dont play!
For the price, great little uke. One thing, description is not right...IT DOES NOT HAVE A PREAMP (look at pics, not there...or on the ones i received).
Looks nice that place well sounds good but it does not have the preamp in it
The Good: Inexpensive $10.99 on sale. Setup was good. Aquila Strings already installed. Body looked great. The Bad: Fret ends were sharp and had to be filed. Fretboard had some gouges that appeared to be repaired. THE PINEAPPLE UKE DID NOT COME WITH A PREAMP. Not a dealbreaker for what I paid. Great uke to let kids learn on and practice and if it breaks, replace it.
