Was purchased for a 13 year old boy that wanted a touch screen and smartphone looking cell. Features are great and well worth the money for his purposes. No complaints at all.

LG Prime GS390 UNLOCKED cell phone

desperately needed a new cell phone. could not find the archaic version i have been using from the beginning. finally found an UNLOCKED phone that accepted my generic sim card, not requiring a name brand carrier. this turned out to be a smart phone, which was initially much smarter than me. however, through trial and error, managed to figure out how things worked. the phone is no longer daunting and i am pleased to have made this purchase. does not come with a manual of "how to" instructions but there is help on the Internet. the phone constantly LOCKS itself but there is a small switch on the side to unlock it without any type of interruption. when making a call, it's important to bring up a dial pad immediately. this is an excellent introduction to a smart phone. with a bit of common sense and prior experience with a cell phone, this phone works well for anyone unsure about getting into the smart phone arena.

I wanted a cheap phone with a good battery life that had Bluetooth. This phone meets those requirements. But, the literature indicated it could browse the web. But only if you have a data plan; the phone does not have WIFI. The phone did not include a USB data cable. I had to buy one. The LG website had two software packages associated with the phone. Supposedly you could access and edit the phone contacts using a PC. After downloading and installing the software it wouldn't connect to the phone. LG confirmed the software they supplied for the phone does not work for the phone. Not cool.

I really have no idea why this phone is still sold. It runs on the EDGE networks and nowadays 3G is the minimum people look for when looking for a cell phone. I really don't think it's worth that much NOW. If you are looking for a basic phone that can text and call, than this is the phone for you. The internet is really slow and freezes up. I am upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim from Straight Talk. Please look elsewhere before buying this prepaid phone.

the screen stopped working. I bought the phone because I could replace my old, broken-down phone easily, simply by putting my sim card in it. I'm trying to continue using my family cell-phone plan without starting a new contract. However, this phone was not a bargain. I paid about $80.00 initially, and the phone worked fine. About 1 1/2 months later, the screen stopped working. I took the phone to a cell phone repair shop to have the screen replaced, for $50.00 + tax. A month later, the screen stopped working again, so I gave up on it. I hadn't checked the warranty, but I wish I had tried returning it for a refund initially. I bought the phone in the spring of 2012, and by summer I had to get another phone.

The LG Prime is VERY unreliable. I first purchased one when I moved out of state for college. That was in fall of 2010. Since then I've had to get the phone replaced four times! I used the warranty to get the first two replacements. I bought the third one because it was so cheap and I figured I'd get a year warranty with it anyway. Now the phone has stopped working again after only four months. As an out-of-state college student without a car, I'm very disappointed because I can 't just drive to renew the phone. I've searched online for solutions and there seems to be an inevitable touch screen problem with LG Primes. Please spare your money.

The worst phone I have ever owned.

Personally after owning this phone for 2 days i could very easily pick out it's flaws. After owning this phone for a little over a year the resistive touch screen stopped working and the front layer of the touch screen peeled off. I couldn't even make a call, I could only recieve them. Before the phone broke i realized that one of its many flaws, was that it had horrible calibration, even when I did calibrate it. It also had a very noticable lag, overall this phone isn't worth buying don't even waste your time looking at it, i learned the hard way, but I won't be buying another LG brand phone. If you do still proceed to buy this phone dispite this review i highly recomend a replacment plan, due to the fact its prone to breaking.

The phone was difficult to use to say the least. We (meaning all of us: family and friends) have a hard time trying to figure out how to turn on the phone. We read the manual it came with, tried the instruction that came with it but it takes forever if ever it does. Day three and my husband still has not used the phone. I just have to return it this weekend. I will not get this type/brand of phone again.
