So far so good. Gives a full suite of legitimate functionality as an Android device, works well as a phone, connects properly to a wifi network, processor speed is acceptable....i'm sure it's not quite what you get with the latest Galaxy model, but for a Tracfone selling for $130, it's good stuff
Once again, a quality product from Samsung. The only drawback is getting it activated through TracFone. It takes more than several hours. This is a problem if you are porting your number from another provider. You old phone service is disconnected almost immediately and you have at least a 1 to 2 day wait for your new service.
I have been a TracFone customer for many years. I enjoy the convenience of having control of the features I use, and not paying high cell phone bills. This phone gives three times the amount of minutes or data that I purchase. I have my Playstation 4 features on the phone, trophies, Playstation network, and Playstation Music Unlimited, millions of songs streamed right to the phone. The style of the phone is great looking, the phone calls are clear, easy to use interface, and I love it. The battery life could last longer, but it charges quickly. I just throw the charger in my pack, so it is not a problem. You Tube, Netflix, Pandora, Facebook, Google, Games, my aol account as well as a Gmail account works flawlessly.
The phone is nice but it is much more than just a cell phone. To be able to use all the other features, I had go to the website and download the full manual showing how to download music and what size memory card to purchase and what websites are compatible with the phone... etc. Once I learn all the features and how to use everything and get the websites downloaded and subscribed to them - it will be great!
Let me start off by saying I am 55 yrs old and I looked for a Tracfone that would allow me to learn the technology without being too complicated. I like Tracfone and have used them for years. So far I am very happy with the phone. When I don't understand something I look at the complete manual (which I can download) located in my Tracfone account. I have been able to read and resolve any issues that I have had - I can also go to the Walmart phone store to get information/answers. Tracfone will automatically message your phone with your balances when you check your balance online. I am not a person who walks around texting and talking on the phone all the time. I am a basic user and really like the phone for what it offers. I haven't found anything I really dislike about the phone. If you are looking for an upgrade phone from a flip phone - this is the one. If you want more in a phone - keep looking.
I am enjoying my new TracFone Samsung Galaxy Centura S738C Prepaid Cell Phone. It has more features than I probably will ever use being a 61 year old and this being my first smart phone; had to get help with it from my son, but getting more familiar with it now I've had it for a few weeks. One thing I am disappointed in, because this is the reason I bought the phone in the first place, is that I can't make or receive phone calls in my country home using the WiFi, so as not to use the minutes on my phone and I am not sure why it won't. It maybe my server that is the problem as Nex-Tech and Verizon are apparently fighting and I have absolutely no cell phone signal inside my home....which I don't understand the phone needing a cell phone signal if it is using WiFi to make a phone call....if someone would enlighten me on this subject I would be eternally grateful.
Good phone for using as a Tracfone. Would have given it a 5 star except you can't have different notification sounds for both e-mail and text messages. I just turned off the email sync to fix this problem. I have only had it 2 weeks so far, but am liking it alot.
Bought the Samsung Centura S738C and not what I expected. It doesn't state how to delete old phone calls received or to delete pictures no longer needed. Had to charge it twice in two days and I activated it two days ago. Support reps tells you something but it does not work.. When setting up voicemail, the screen goes black and moves to another screen. Very disappointed.
The phone looks great and feels good. I'm 65 and not familiar with high tech gadgets. I don't know the terminology and I need a phone that is user friendly....so I think I bit off more than I could handle. Of all the TRACFONES I've had, my husband says this one has the best voice clarity.
This was my fist smart phone and it outsmarted me. I bought a tracfone Samsung Galaxy Centura (fancy name) android smart phone. I do like tracfones as I save quite a bit of money not having a contract. It was very unresponsive. If I tipped the phone even a slight bit while using it what was on the screen got lost. When I would press the phone icon the contacts group would come up instead of a number pad to dial. I need to push any icon maybe 5 times to get it to connect. The battery runs out very fast. Needless to say I am replacing it.
