I just purchased this phone and found very easy to set up and use. I downloaded the manual from the Tracfone website and was able to learn all the features and how to use. So far I am very pleased with this phone. I basically bought it for the long battery life and small size.
The reception on this Samsung 336C phone is incredible, especially for the low price. Even when my sister's iPhone 5 lost reception deep inside a local hospital building, my Samsung still had 3 bars. This flip-phone is great if the only thing you want to do is make phone calls. Texting, voice mail and other functions can be done but upgrading to a smart phone will definitely perform those functions much faster. One last note: The battery charge is long lasting. Between talk time and standby, I only need to charge my phone once a week.
Have been looking for a flip phone that is easy to use, do not need all the bells and whistle, just a simple phone, not too big for my pockets and does everything I need.
Good phone for people who just want a mobile phone away from home and don't need or want a smart phone. I was happy with my simple cheap older Samsung Tracfone (2G), except that it often didn't get a network signal, especially some places indoors and some places we've traveled to. I upgraded to this fairly simple and still inexpensive Samsung Tracfone (3G). I have not used it too many places yet, but I can now call out and receive calls from at least one of the places I was unable to before. I really like the flip phone. No more fiddling with the hot key to unlock it when in power saver mode. Just flip it open. I like the feature that lets you switch between vibrate and previous volume setting with just the press of one button. The battery seems to go a really long time on stand by. I don't use it enough to comment on talk time. I don't plan on using the camera much, so no comment about the camera feature. I bought it to be just a basic phone to place and receive calls when I'm away from home.
I order this phone after reading reviews. It is a great tracfone and I could've be happier . I can hear and also see the numbers I am calling.
I bought one of these a few months back and loved it. My wife tried and loved it. So, she bought one. Neither one of use have need of a smart phone. The economy of using any tracfone is unbeatable. The camera works very well. The sound quality is very good. And, for an added bonus, this phone is rated as having one of the lowest SAR values.
It took me a while to find the right kind of phone for myself. I've had flip phones in the past, but I was never happy with them. I've even tried smart phones; but they aren't for me. So, my daughter bought this Samsung flip phone for me. I like how the keypad is easy to operate and it doesn't take me forever to call someone. I am very happy with this phone and would buy it again, if I ever needed to.
totally dissatisfied with it and don't like it!! Not even close to the quality of my previous 236LG phone. As for taking photos, forget about being able to review on PC or sending them via e-mail as that doesn't work either. I am now having trouble with the phone staying on throughout the day as it keeps shutting down. I plan on returning it as a defective phone.
This phone has fantastic battery life, as advertised, both stand by and talk time. Best I have ever seen in any phone, flip phone, smartphone, or iPhone. My only complaint and it is a major complaint as far as I am concerned - this phone is unable to block incoming calls ! Evidently Samsung does not deem this feature worthy to include on their basic phones. This is especially annoying with the endless RoBo calls you receive. To add insult to injury on a TracFone each time you answer a RoBo call you are burning minutes you paid for. This model phone is a CDMA phone as denoted by the C after the model number. With TracFone their CDMA service network is of course Verizon. The Verizon signal I receive in my home is far superior to my previous G model phones, which uses the AT&T network. Great phone, great battery life, great signal, but absurd the phone has no ability to block incoming calls.
I don't like this phone as much as my previous Samsung flip phone but it works fine. It has many more features that I will never use and it's much bulkier. I had to replace my old phone because the text feature no longer worked. It's ok for someone who needs larger print and a sturdier phone,
