Mounted this on a wood 4x4 post and attached to a 12' x 50" tube gate. Had to make a few adjustments at the pivot arm to get the open / close positions correct but that was a snap. Gate opens from around the corner when approching the property. The Key pad incl. is a great touch.
Once installed, this gate opener makes life so much easier. It took two orders to get all the parts however so I gave it 3 stars, otherwise a 4.5. Original shipment was missing one of two remote controls and the keypad. Walmart sent a replacement order. Bummer for me, the replacement order was missing one remote and several pages of the instruction book. I called the manufacturer GTO who quickly said it was Walmart's problem because they didn't pack the orders, and didn't help me at all. Good thing, between the two shipments, I had everything I needed and returned the rest. Make sure the gate is level and opens easily before installing. I have a 16ft tube single panel rural gate. Not included, you can get the solar panel but I used an automotive battery since I was near an electrical outlet to keep it charged. I have the battery in a weather proof housing. Get about 25ft of 16ga. two conductor stranded wire to connect the transformer or solar panel to the gate opener. The type buried wire used with landscaping lights worked great. Transformer is included with the kit. Works perfect so far.
It came less one of the auto open buttons, but we all make mistakes some times.
The product seems OK, works good, and a good value. The web ad and the box said two remotes however the box only contained one. After two phone calls over forty minutes GTO Access Systems reluctantly agreed to send the missing remote. Too much hassle for a simple remote. They lost any chance of me referring their product.
Had to send the first one back with in six months and they told me they would not fix it again. Then six months later in stopped working again. Im done with this company.
