I purchased this alarm to replace one that the deer would set off in the middle of the night. This one works well and only occasionally does it give a false alarm and only in the late afternoon after a 90+ degree day. Animals do not set this one off. It works as advertised and has never failed to announce an approaching car. I would recommend to a friend.
Skeptical at first . I followed directions adjusted as described and, volia. Simple instal decent price. Tim3 will tell. These things have a tendency to malfunction about 3 months in. Fingers crossed. I will follow up either way. Go mighty mule.
My E-Z gate Indoor base station works just fine. I have two base station on my in my home and we love. Can't go wrong with it. Agan it's great.
I had a mighty mule driveway alarm at my old house and loved it. Now I have one at my new house. Works great. Lasts for years. I have also given them as gifts. This is just an awesome product, and very easy to setup!
Works wonderfully but I can't hear the alarm if over three feet away. It's the frequency of the alarm not the volume. It's to high for my ears to detect. Their FM331 is a lower frequency and works without false alarms.
The product works great but there are too many false alarms which seem only to go off late at night. I have moved the sensor several times to no avail. I prefer this alarm since it is not a motion detector that can be set off by all the deer on the property. I will turn down the sensitivity and bury it deeper. Perhaps that will work.
The unit has worked as advertised and has proven reliable in temperatures over 100 degrees and below freezing. It does miss some cars when below freezing for days, but that is likely a function of the batteries rather than the sensor? It is important to note that this unit employs a metal sensing loop rather than an infrared pickup, and that greatly reduces the chances of false warnings. It is not designed to, nor will it sense people or animals passing in proximity It could be improved by adding a relay output to the receiver for integrating other automation or systems. I called their tech support about making a mod to the unit, but they were not inclined to discuss that at all. However, if someone needed help with any run-of-the-mill questions about hooking up the unit, they seemed OK. If the unit had the relay output, I would upgrade the rating to 5 stars.
This works great but does have a couple false alarms per day. ALWAYS goes off when there is a vehicle but sometimes when there is none. I am changing frequency's on the back over the next week or so to see if I can find one with less interference. Our house is placed.
Purchased this item to replace my original receiver. The cord on the original receiver appeared to have a loose wire and would not make contact to transformer unless I wiggled it just right. I tried to find a replacement transformer, even from the manufacturer, with no results. I'm hoping this replacement has a longer lifespan.
Additional station has even less range sensitivity than the primary station (about half the range). Don't buy unless you will ahve only limited separation between the transmitter and the base station.
