It was bought to support recovery from eye surgery. It does the job just fine. Support for the head is necessary when maintaining a head down position. This does great.
Easy to use, works great- just makes sense
Easy to purchase and pick up. Item arrived 2 days earlier that promised. Workers at the pick-up desk were very helpful in looking up the order and finding my purchase since I forgot to bring the full receipt with order number. Thank you, I will do this again next year.
Good quality. I still need to take the time to figure out how I'm going to use it for my purposes.
I work with a number of elderly people and this will be useful when they are unable to get onto my massage chair. I can set this up on a table and they can sit on a chair or their wheelchair and still receive a massage. I will also be useful to take into an office where there might not be space for other massage equipment. It is stable and very portable and comes with a nice carrying case.
Face down device used after eye surgery that required face down for seven days. The device worked great. Issue was that one of the plastic screw adjustment knobs was broken. I did get the screw part out and the thread size was 5/16 NC. I replaced with a metal 5/16 machine screw.
Massage apparatus itself seems to be functional. Listing for item showed and said included travel case. There was no travel case with this. Called and requested travel case; two weeks later still have not received it. Called again; was assured that it would be taken care of. So far, nothing.
I've had four face down eye surgeries in the last 18 years. Previously I rented face supports like the TravelMate. I even remember renting the Earthlite, which was made completely or nearly completely from steel years ago. This Earthlite is made mostly from a plastic resin. When it arrived (on time to Wal-Mart's credit), one of the thumbscrews had snapped and part of the support to the crescent-shaped pillow had broken off in transit. I needed the Earthlite for a surgery the next day. Luckily I'm handy and was able to glue the pillow support and replace the plastic thumbscrews with metal screws. The Earthlite worked fine for my recovery. My suggestion to Earthlite is to replace the plastic thumbscrews with metal and provide more protective packaging.
This item is made out of plastic and is not durable. I had a hard time using it during my surgery
