After suffering for yours with dry itchy skin and also suffering from eczema I found it very hard to find a cleanser that helped my skin. I was sent to a Dermatologist and she recommended the Cerave Cleansing Bar and gave me a sample to try before I purchased it. After that first shower my skin felt wonderful. No itchiness, No dryness. I was hooked completely. I will never ever go back to any other product again. Its Cerave for me all the way from now on.
I've been using this cleanser for 2 years and I love it. Started using it because bar cleansers are eco-friendly (no plastic packaging) and got hooked. I use it to remove my makeup (even waterproof) and it does its job of cleansing my face. Used to react to a bunch of different products before trying this one. Plus its really cheap and lasts a while (4-5 months per bar)
This is incredible. I've never felt anything like this... I have very sensitive dry skin and I can feel other soap bars stripping my skin and making it more dry, since this is soap and fragrance free it doesn't do that. It literally feels like you're putting lotion on as you use it. It's very calming and moisturizing. I'm not sure about value for money, it's expensive compared to other soap bars but knowing how much money I've wasted trying to buy every product under the sun trying to alleviate my dry skin and eczema so having this work is worth the money!
Our household has been liquid body wash users for a long time, but after using this bar we've totally converted. I love the lather it makes and the fact that it is completely soap-free so it doesn't dry out our skin. You actually feel moisturized after using it. It also lasts far longer than any other bar of soap I've used in the past. I've also started using it to shave with and it's better than a lot of shaving creams. If you use a shaving brush, you get a great lather and a great shave. Best of all is I don't feel like I need a moisturizer afterward and my skin has never felt better!
I use this as a body wash and it works great! I have pretty sensitive skin and in the winter months I get dry, itchy patches and this helps prevent them. It's also completely non-irritating for me.
I purchased CeraVe bar soap because my children have eczema. From the first day they stop complaining about having itchy skin coming out of the bath. We now all use the bar soap... it also 'melts' slower than the other brand we used before. LOVE IT!
I love this product. It was recommended for my teenage son and daughter by their dermatologist for acne. I have always had problem skin so I started using it with great results. I was buying the liquid pump but I am trying to reduce plastic so I started ordering the bars and I love the bar even more!
My skin can get so dry that is super itchy. I had scratched so much that I had a huge spot on my leg that looked like a bruise. After trying to put creams and ointments nothing really worked. Then I started using the Cerave Hydrating Bar in the shower and within 2 weeks to spot was gone and my skin was no longer itchy and tight. Amazing. Once the bar was finished I had another one similar to this one so used that one. Not a good idea. The itchiness came back. Cerave will now be my go to cleanser for face and body. What an amazing product. Thank you Cerave
The formula seems to have changed or they made a bad batch, it no longer produces suds. Truly unusable.
I loved all Cerave products that I tried.. except this one. I thought Cerave was supposed to be fragrance free but the scent to this product is really strong and horrible. Once I got out of the shower, the smell lingered on my skin, so I went back in with another soap. This one goes right in the trash.
