Love the cage , it was here in a timely manner !! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a beautiful, spacious home for my bird, Topaz. The construction is good, but there are some issues with it. First, putting it together was terrible! It took 4 hours and four hands (my sister helped me), and a huge stack of quarters for the swear jar! The wine helped too. Second: the food dishes are so close together that while sitting on the food dish she poops in the water dish and vice versa with the food dish. Three: The perches are crap, plastic, hollow cheap junk. Four: The front door is also crap, the attachment is loose and has hooks. I have permanently closed it and only use the door on the roof. I ordered new perches, made of wood, covered food dishes that attach with screws and can be moved around. Once you get past the assembly issues it is just beautiful and my bird loves her big house, she has lots of room for toys and play. It is big 18 X 18 and quite tall so I wouldn't recommend it for a small place. Allow plenty of time for assembly and know you may want to replace the perches, food dishes and tie the front door shut and you will have a great place for your pet.
I am delighted with the appearance of the bird cage and my budgies seem very content with their new home. It was, however, a chore to assemble; and I never did get it quite right, although close enough to be useable. Once together, it is somewhat awkward to remove the water cup for refilling. All in all, though, I am pleased with it.
