The enclosure is hard to put together, but overall it's a great bird enclosure. It's also a great value. If I had to do it all over again. I would still buy this cage.
The bottom plate which attaches to the legs, kept popping out when we were assembling it. I had to purchase a square piece 13"x 13" plexiglass to support the bottom and fastened it with screws. It is now very sturdy and our little Finches seem to have adjusted well to their new home.
I got it... UPS left it at my gate. Box smooshed and they do not but the product box into another box, just put protective corners on it, which is cool green-wise, but someone stepped on it or something as when I removed the items, the base and tray are a very flimsy plastic and the base was broken in 4 place and un-usable. I called Prevue right away and they are sending out another, though it has been a week and I still do not have it.... my poor bird..... I wont buy a birdcage over the internet ever again. I could have built a stronger one myself out of craft wood and birdwire.....
some pieces do not fit well after it is finally assembled it is usable
Took both me and my son 2 hours to get this together because as someone else said on here...nothing lines up properly. I got this at a pet store(a rather famous one), but it is the exact same make and model. I do not recommend this to anyone. The seed and water dishes are junky and their tops come off rather easily, which frightens my bird...they are supposed to snap into each other(the top/cpver and dish separate for cleaning), but it is not very sturdy. The only thing good about buying this cage at Walmart is that you paid about $30 less than I did. Concept is nice...but hardly worth the price because of the poor quality and construction.
I had trouble keeping the stand attached to the cage. Cage was damaged not worth the price. I went out and purchased another stand for this bird cage.
It was very hard to assemble. It required bending the four legs to assemble the bottom shelf. I Had to contact them and was told to do this as per the warehouse supervisor. In doing so, one of the welds on the leg broke. They sent me a replacement leg at no charge. I will not be ordering from this company in the future
This is the worst online product I've ever bought. The whole cage is flimsy. Assembly is hard, nothing matches up. And when I tried to stand it up on it's legs they popped off and the whole cage fell apart.
The tray was very cheap and really dosen't support the cage well. I'm concerned about putting my birds in the cage. We had to bend the legs of the cage to get them to stay attached to the bottom of the tray and even then it is not very stable. More top heavy. One of the wires in the cage was broke.
Was broken before I could put it together, has cheaply made plastic bottom, and no way this construction could hold up to use much less assembly. Had to return and would not advise buying products from this company.
