Testing with a $300 Bose set of headphones, I found that either this headset has excellent quality or that expense Bose set has poor quality. Honestly, the quality of this headset was just perfect for my PC setup. I have a quiet room which allows me to hear everything just fine. If you have a noisy environment though it will probably be hard to hear as there is minimal noise cancellation. I've used a few other mics and about a dozen pairs of headphones in my life and this one is easily takes the cake.
I bought these for my grandson for Christmas. He is a big gamer as is his dad. When the dad saw them, he really liked them and wanted a set so he also got a set for Christmas! Big hit for the mom/nana.
I've always liked behind-the-head headphones because I gel my hair (spikey). This was rated well, so I thought what the hey. It HURTS. A lot. The tops of your ears where they join with your head feels like it's on fire. I think they weigh so much that it just fatigues your flesh. In any case, I'd avoid this headache and go with an over-the-head model instead.
When i first got this headset, it was perfect. The sound quality was amazing, and the microphone worked like a dream. However, after having it for less than a month, the microphone completely stopped working. The only way to get the sound to register was by almost putting the mic. into my mouth and screaming at it, and yet they could still barely hear me. Now, its just a pair of expensive, uncomfortable headphones. My advice is to save up the money and get the nicer ones... that are NOT logitech. i have never had a logitech product, from a mouse, to a joystick, to headsets that have worked consistently, and for more than a month, if even at all. If you made the mistake of purchasing this product, for god's sake, KEEP THE RECEIPT!
