This line of SHARP calculators are excellent for Math and Science. The thing that makes me recommend them to students is the fact that they have both Stats functions and a good Fraction key, as well as all the other useful scientific functions. Not all scientific calculators have both a fraction key and stats functions, and when they don't have both, my students end up buying two calculators. This calculator will take time to learn, but is optimal for basic statistics and calculus functions. I do not always need a great size calculator or software program for basic functions! I recommend this to others!
I have used a previous generation Sharp calc for years as a student and an engineer. I'm picky on button feel and layout. Sharp must have had success with the design since it was very close to my old calc with a few improvements. It is well worth the money if you do not need a graphing calc.
