We bought this razor for my husband & he says it is the best razor he has owned. He is 55 so has owned a number of razors in his life time.
Bought this a year ago and it has given excellent value. I especially like its light weight and it shaves very comfortably.
My husband loves this razor. He had one very similar before a couple of years ago, but our dog got hold of it. It shaves closer than any hand razor and leaves his skin very, very soft and hair free. HE LOVES IT! Thanks.
My son bought this product first. I kept stealing it because it worked so good. so I finally bought one myself. great shave and even better price.
At first I was pretty skeptical about all the good reviews this shaver recieved. I've owned some electric ones in the past that wouldn't give a very close shave. My new job required me to be "well groomed" and blades were giving me razor bumps almost every time. Anyways, after reading some good reviews on the Braun Free Control I decided to give it a shot. I was pretty surprised at how close of a shave it gave me. Granted, it will never be as close as a blade, but for what it's worth, it is awesome. No razor bumps, no shaving cream required, no mess. For the price, you can't go wrong.
This was for my teenage son and seems to be doing a great job.
This shaver gives a closer shave than the Norelco it replaced but you have to be vigilant and make sure you don't miss any hairs because once they grow out a bit it will miss them unless you use the trimmer, sometimes I clean up any long hairs with the old Norelco.
While the price of this Braun was very resonable, it did not come near my expectations of past (more expensive) Braun shavers. It did a very poor job of shaving smaller whiskers, and even going over the same place two or three times didn't help. I ended up buying a more expensive Braun to get a much better shave.
This Braun Series 1 razor was horrible on the neck and cuts almost nothing. On the Face it cuts half the hairs. On the upper lip it actually was decent. I only have an average beard that is not at all heavy or difficult. I shave noramlly with a Gilette Mach 3 and get an awesome shave with no irritation. You pay only $30, you get what you pay for I guess. I wanted to get the $200+ Braun(Series 5 or 7) but Walmart did not have it ont he shelf. Time for the $200 Braun.
After reading all the reviews and realizing this was not an expensive shaver, was looking forward to at least a comfortable shave... instead got a red face with stubble. Guess we got what we paid for and am returning the razor. "No free lunches"!
