This product is realy realy realy good, a lost all the time and now only use my GPS and go enywhere and find it. Thank You
The Garmin StreetPilot i3 Auto GPS is easy to use and to install. The WalMart price is the best I could find for this product. This is the simplest GPS to use even for the tech impaired. Remember that you must have a home computer to get this product up and running. You can't get lost with this GPS!!!!!!
Great Gift for a dad who WON'T stop for directions!
Having to register and load maps is a pain, especially if you don't own a home computer. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the ready to use. I did!
It is a good little device and when I borrowed it from my friend I said I have to get one, after I got my own I was a bit confused becasue it wouldnt hold all the states. I have to buy another card to add to it to put all the states on it. Plus have my friend come over and install them right. Not real user friendly. Good price tho.
I own both the monochrome StreetPilot I2 and the color StreetPilot I3. If all you need is a basic GPS unit that will help you find your way to unknown locations, this is the unit for you. On the downside all I can say is that once in a while it thinks you have changed roads when you have not, but it immediately corrects. This is probably due to a defect in the government created maps it uses for navigation. Also, the thumbwheel is a bit tiresome to use when entering an address, but I wouldn't want Garmin to put in something more sophisticated and to have to raise the price. I use panel-mounted aircraft GPS units costing tens of thousands of dollars, but on the road I depend on my StreetPilot I3. All in all a great little unit.
Works good not a lot of exstra's but it gets the job done. Also easy to set up and a good value.
this has it's quirks. for example, it doesn't know it's way around YOUR town as well as YOU do. On the other hand - if you are in a strange city- just give up and do what it says. BE SURE to have a sense of direction and distance yourself- for example - if it says turn in 2/10ths of a mile- DO NOT take the turn immediately in front of you. Watch the lower right corner of the display and wait to turn in 2/10ths of a mile. Heard to see small display without reading glasses. I can't drive and wear reading glasses at the same time - so this is a problem. Takes some getting used to. Not for the technologically faint of heart. Otherwise, we love it. Especially with a British accent!
well its not that bad, but its really small, keep falling down from the place you put it on, and sometimes it gives wrong dirctions..... but it works pretty good.
The GPS is not working too well. It takes too long to locate a signal. By the time you locate a signal, you have already made it to the location. I plan to return it.
