This case for the Magellan Explorist 500 works great. The flap locks down with velcro and the GPS fits snug in the case. This was the lowest price that I could find, even with shipping added on. It was shipped to me faster that expected. This was my first experience with Walmart on-line. It worked very good. I might try it again in the future.

this case is very helpful in keeping your gps close and secure. you do not need to worry about it falling out of a pocket and getting lost. it mounts securely to you belt with easy access. the velcro closure flap keep the gps unit safe.
Great case for my Magellan GPS. Tough on the outside yet soft on the inside (like me) to protect my GPS screen. Belt clip makes the GPS unit accesible during a hike.
Because of the CRT screen, you will need a cover for your GPS unit. The screen will scratch without one. My only complaint is you have to take the unit out of the case in order to use it because the case covers the screen and buttons. I have had other GPS units that have covers with plastic screens and openings for the buttons which allow use without having to take it out of the case (downside to the case being on is the plastic cover of the case hampers visability of the screen). You will need a case to protect the unit, but you can use a padded camara case with easy access that clips onto a belt just as well. For what it's worth.
