I got this instead of using both, a moisturizer and foundation. Sometimes, I get too busy and just want something quick and easy as well as still wanting to protect my skin!! I will agree that there is a scent, but it doesn't bother me. The Only issue I've had is getting it too close to my eyes ( burns). So I don't even get near the eye area, I use a cotton swab. I love that this covers imperfections (past sun spots) and just feels nice on my skin. I find that the fair/light is a good shade for my skin.. I love it- Thanks Aveeno for a great product :)
The Nice- This product goes on so beautifully. Didnt make my skin look like a cakey,flakey mess like when I use foundation. Made my skin look soft ,dewy and beautiful. Made me look like I was glowing. The Nasty- Ended up giving me cystic acne on my chin. I kept using it because I didnt want to believe it was the BB cream. But eventually my skin was such a disaster I had to stop using the cream and see if that was the problem. Now that I stopped im clearing up. .....also had a problem with eye irritation. My eyes would constantly waster and be swollen like I was allergic. Dunno what to do now. Its either caked,flakey skin. Somehow dry and oily at the same time (when using foundation) Or cysts under my skin that are so big they deform my face. )WHen using BB cream) :\
I bought this because the store was out of the tinted moisturizer that I absolutely LOVE. I thought there wouldn't be much difference. I was wrong. The first time I used it I thought it was coincidence that my chin broke out within 2 days. I stopped using for a couple weeks and just a few days ago decided to give it another try. Today my chin is covered in pimples and my face looks like I plastered something on my skin. This product may work for others, but I have very sensitive skin and it just doesn't work for me. Wish I could get my money back so I could spend it on my Aveeno tinted moisturizer LOVE that product! It goes I with me on every business trip I take.
I love BBcreams and have been using them for 2 years, so when I heard my favorite skincare brand, Aveeno, had a BBcream on the market I was excited and bought it right away! I put it on after washing my face and I noticed how well it covered and how light and fresh it felt. However after about 20 minutes of putting it on, my eyes stung. Despite not putting it around my eyes, they burned quite badly! Now my eyes are both red. I took off the makeup right away with warm water and found my skin to be red in patches. I've never had this with any other Aveeno product so I'm incredibly disappointed. After a while, my eyes are still burning and my skin is still patchy looking. This will definitely not be a future purchase.
I've heard only good things about Aveeno products so I thought I would give the BB Cream and My first worry was the strong fragrance smell from the product. I have sensitive skin and this had me worried but I tired the products anyways. I bought the BB cream in fair/light and it was way to dark for my skin plus that fragrance smell lingered on after I put it on. I noticed a few days after I first wore it my face started to break out. I was disappointed in this product and not sure I will try another of Aveeno's.
I was all excited to try this lotion, especially since I have sensitive skin but then I read that it contains fragrance! If you have sensitive skin do not use this the mere fact that it contains fragrance at all will be enough to irritate your skin. Make sure you read the ingredients before you buy!!! Hypoallergenic is a joke
I bought this product at my local pharmacy while looking for a good tinted moisturizer/BB cream. My skin is extremely sensitive and I have been struggling with acne for the past two years. I have been on a doctor prescribed medication for my acne which I apply directly to my acne. Because of this I am not able to wear normal foundations as they are too drying. I bought this hoping that it would provide a bit of extra cover as well moisturizing my skin and offering a more gentle solution than traditional foundations. When I applied this product to my skin I did enjoy the texture and it did not feel greasy or oily and stayed that way without powder. My problems began when I noticed that the product contained fragrance. Sure enough the next day my face was extremely irritated and I had a severe acne breakout that was very painful. I wish product manufacturers would not include fragrances of any kind in products meant for the face. This product would have been great if it did not contain any fragrance. It's a shame as overall it is a pretty good product.
I have used many Aveeno products and have always been pleased. NOT the case with their BB cream, though. It smells like suntan lotion (which I could live with), but what shocked me was that my face broke out the first time I used it. I thought it might be a coincidence or from something else, so I waited until my face cleared and tried it again. Same thing- my face broke out and my skin didn't feel right. This is supposed to blend away imperfections, not cause them! I see I am not the only one unhappy with this product. It's a shame- I believe you get the quality you pay for, but this was a complete waste of money. Pay attention to the reviews!
This product is HORRIBLE. The sunscreen in it makes the BB cream SO greasy that your face looks and feels wet. This is insane because plenty of sunscreens are sheer now a days, but it feels like really heavy duty body sunscreen, like Coppertone sport or something thick and pore-clogging.
I purchased this at the advice of a friend. I have sensitive but combination skin. I have used Aveeno products in the past but nothing on my face. The first 2 days I used this product I only had it on 4-5 hours max. The first day I wore this all day 8+ hours, my face began to itch terribly! So, I didn't use it for a few days. I used it again to convince myself it was this product and unfortunately it was. It did not give me a rash or make me break out, just made me feel like my face was on fire itchy. I was so disappointed as I love the coverage and the feel of this cream when it first goes on but the itchiness after wearing to work all day just isn't worth it. I will not be trying any more Aveeno facial products.
