Assembly was simple, the most challenging part was zipping it. Its more like a cat tent with a hammock on top. When I bought it I was skeptical my cat wouldn't be able to get on top of it without breaking it. But she sleeps on the top of it all the time. I also bought a few other pieces that are somewhat similar (that i paid more for) and connected them. She still prefers this one over the more expensive ones.
I purchased the smartykat condo for my 10 pound ragdoll cat. She adores it and, it is well worth the money! It was easy to assemble. If you are looking for an inexpensive option , this is it!! The tunnel which attaches to it was out of stock. I will purchase it when it comes available, or I find it in the store>
I got this piece and the crackle connector. I saw that the SmartKitty line of things were inexpensive and kept selling out online and in the stores. I had to find out what the craze was about. Since I have a strictly indoor cat, I am always looking for inexpensive ways to enrich her environment. I ordered these two pieces. The moment I put them together (which wasn't hard) and set them on the floor, she was playing with them. I put her fleece blanket inside the hammock house and she has been sleeping there every night. She likes the toy feathers that come with it. The feathers are ingeniously connected with a plastic snap on connector so that they can't be destroyed. One misconception about the toy. It suggests that the cat can lounge on top. It is too flimsy for my cat too lounge on top. She is a twelve pound kitty. I suppose maybe if you wanted to push the issue and have the fabric and frame bow way down... she could. However, she would be too scared to do that. Overall, a great product. For little money my cat finally has a spot that is all hers. That really exceeded my expectations when really I just expected to be buying just another toy.
We got this for our cat for Christmas and he uses it all the time. He likes sleeping in it and on it. It still is in great condition and it's durable! Great product!
It was not easy to put together but went fast. Lots of pieces. I just followed the directions. My cats love to sit in the hammock top and play with each other. It has become a favorite place to relax for them.
Great buy for the money! My cat loves to lay on top and also hit inside...... Highly recommend.
This product is BY FAR the BEST thing I have bought our cat. I normally do not leave a review but for this I just couldn't resist! I have had this house for over a year now and it looks like it did the day I got it. I thought it was very easy to put together. We also have a dog so I would put our cats food dish inside this house where she could eat without being bothered. She loved it! The material is made VERY well. We recently had to put my cat to sleep due to cancer. We are now getting a new cat so I figured I would wash the cover of this house.. I washed it in cold water and it cleaned up like brand new. I just love this house!! and I'm sure the new kitty will too. GREAT product and not expensive!
I've been picking this thing up for months at Walmart and not buying it, I'm so glad I finally got it tonight. My white cat won't leave the thing since I put it together and my other cat keeps trying to snag it back. They really seem to like this thing, and its such a simple design. It took me all of 5 minutes to put it together, they even leave the 4 curved peices in a second bag so you don't have to figure out which ones go where. For $20 if thing thing last just a few month and continues to provide my cats the same amount of interest as it has so far I'm going to be very pleased. Money well spent!
I've been looking for a hammock style piece of cat furniture because I know my cat loves to be cradled but he just didn't want to sit on top of it. The box also got 1 of the plastic fittings wrong. It was supposed to come with 4 "curved" corner pieces of plastic but the 4th corner piece was straight & not curved. We looked over the pieces many times & only 3 were curved so it didn't go together perfectly. There are MANY plastic pieces to put it together but if you follow instructions, it's not that hard. However, he loves his Smarty Kat Scratch Scroll (S-shaped sisal/carpet covered wood) & Smarty Kat scratch pad/mat & Smarty Kat light up ball.
