I have two of these litter boxes. When I needed a second litter box for my two cats, I searched everywhere until I found this exact litter box again because it is so great. The sides are high so the litter does not get kicked out all over the place. I also like that where the bottom and the top of the litter box come together, there is no groove to catch waste. I have had other litter boxes that have a ridge or a groove and urine gets caught in there and starts to smell. This is a wonderful litter box, and I highly recommend it. Your cats will love thier new potty! You can't beat the price either.
This has just a little more room than most litter boxes, and my cats love it! And the base is so smooth, that it is easier to clean than other boxes. The guard comes fastened to the bottom with a plastic zip tie, which can be left on. I'm ordering another one now!
This is a great solution for cats who won't use an enclosed litter box. It truly minmizes the litter that escapes from the box when the cat is covering her stuff. An inexpensive solution that works...what a novelty! Thank you SmartyKat!
This litter box is perfect for my older, arthritic cat. It's just the right height and the recessed entryway allows for easy access - yet it's high enough to prevent a lot of litter scatter. It also prevents urine spillover for those cats (like mine) who urinate right at the edge or corners of the box. If you have a large cat, this box will probably be too small - it's best for small to medium sized cats. Hopefully they'll come out with a jumbo version for the bigger kitties. I wish this item was available in all the WalMart stores - they'd sell more of them!
Excellent for 10 dollars and can't go wrong there ! It's tall enough for the little not to splash out the sides and my kitty loves it :-) He loves the color too cause it almost matches his color.. lol Heavy duty compaired to the other cheap ones for the same money.. I am glad I bought this one!
I was looking for a high side litter box and saw this. The price was good so I thought I'd give it a try. I love it. My husbands kitten has stopped getting litter everywhere. I haven't had a problem with the lip coming off as some have stated, but then I don't use liners and am not sure if that makes a difference.
I have 3 cats, one is a recent rescue. She was sick and weak when I got her and she would get in the enclosed box (I already had) but not far enough. It lead to a lot of annoying cleanups. I bought two of these and it solved the problem instantly, since I could see her and had access I could gently reposition her. After a couple of times she learned and the problem was solved. With no top to remove before cleaning I can clean two almost as fast as one covered litter pan. You would think that having it open would be a problem but I find that it reminds me to clean them twice a day and the odor control is actually better that way.
Pretty good litter box. My kitten liked to play in it when it was empty so it was a pretty good sign. After I put litter in it he still thought it was a place to play lol, even when he'd use it for the bathroom which was gross but he doesn't know any better, just means more baths for him. Overall steardy material, good length although some litter still comes out when hes playing in there, not too big like some other litter boxes nor too small, pretty good box been with it for about 3 weeks now looks brand new still.
I think the measurements shown for this are taken from the top edges and the box actually slopes downward and inward, so it ended up being smaller than I expected. That said, it does the job and has cut down significantly on litter being thrown out of the box onto the floor.
So I bought this "on sale" for $10.00, turns out when it was shipped it had a $5.00 discounted sticker on it. Now I'm not cheap or anything, but if you're gonna do that to me at least have the logic to rip the sticker off. Secondly this thing still gets kitty litter everywhere so it doesn't really do much of anything. I think the next box I buy will have a top on it so that at least the kitty litter is a trail and not a splash radius.
