My initial thought of the guitar look: I was happy to see that the wood had a pretty pattern on the face of the guitar, but I was a little disappointed for the high gloss on the guitar finish. The description does state it has a high gloss but the pictures all show a non to low gloss finish, so I was hoping it would be more matte. Also the pick guard is black not brown as one of the pictures show. The other pictures shows the guitar without a pick guard, but that is probably to show the pretty wood grains. Because, I just got it today, I had to tune it over and over, but knowing it is new that happens. I am hoping it will work out as I am a newer player and I am not sure how to gage a guitar at all, but it it has other good reviews.
