This box was just what my tween girl wanted. She can charge her nano (4th gen) and share her music with her friends. They spent all day yesterday planning the dance they will do in school talent show. (Her friend's Touch Ipod did NOT fit in the dock.)
I bought the ipod dock for use at my desk at work. Its small, the sound is good and its extremely easy to operate. Since I'm at work, I have to keep the volumn turned down a lot. I have a problem getting the volumn exactly where I want it, but other than that - its perfect!
My husband and I bought this for my stepson for his birthday. He had an iPod dock before that was more expensive and worse quality. I bought it mainly for the look and the previous reviews. It's definitely worth it to go with this product!! My stepson is 16 and he absolutely loves it. Although it does not have the fancy setting for bass/treble it does have wonderful sound quality!! And you can control it like a CD player instead of going through the playlist and hitting play on the iPod itself. The radio also works well, in the past I've purchased things with radios that don't even pick up local stations, this one will definitely pick up one or two!!
I bought this product for a friend for her birthday. Luckily, she's my roommate, so I've been able to see how well it works. Outside, the volume is loud enough to be heard over the air conditioning unit, and inside it's perfect too. The boombox is really nice because it fits everyone's iPod (my main concern) and it also charges it while it plays. Overall, it's the perfect little boombox. And compared to other places online, WalMart was one of the better prices too. It turned out to be a great gift that I get to enjoy too!
After much shopping around for speakers for my iPod, I found this to be pretty much what I was looking for... I like this because it is portable, the iPod fits RIGHT INSIDE it, and I do not have to worry about carrying around separate speakers as it really is an "All-In-One Package"... It comes with a power cord, but it also runs on 8 "C" sized batteries... I have only used it with the power cord, so I do not know how long the batteries would last... When I got this, I chose the black one as it was either the black or the white one... Now I am thinking about getting this in either the pink or the blue so it will contrast from my black iPod... :-D
Especially for the price, this seems to be a good item. Seems to be put together good and is a good addition for the iPod. Good, clear sound but not much bass. Got it for my 11 y.o. daughter. She seems to like it. She likes the clock on it but you have to reset it every time you unplug it. She likes the charge feature. No more computer needed to charge the iPod! FM radio is good and is a good addition that makes the dock a better value.
this is a good speaker system, the only problem is it doent work for my 8gb touch....which is very annoying. it keeps saying "charging is not supported with this accessory", this annoys me...anyway...i love the digital radio, probably why i kept it, it works for all the other ipods, minus the touch- idk about the iphone- pretty goodish buy.
PRODUCT IS A GOOD PRODUCT BUT IT TOOK LONGER TO SHIP TO THE STORE THAN EXPECTED, IN THE MEAN TIME I FOUND A BOOMBOX AT WAL-MART THAT HAD THE IPOD, THE AM FM RADIO AND A CD PLAYER FOR ONLY $10.00 MORE AND IT TOOK LESS BATTERIES. IT WEIGHS MORE THAN THIS ONE BUT YOU GOT MORE FOR THE MONEY. BUT THIS IS LIGHTWEIGHT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ITEM. IT HAS REALLY GOOD RECEPTION ON THE RADIO. GREAT FOR ADULT OR TEEN TO LISTEN THO THE IPOD IN THE OFFICE OR ON TRIPS OR THE BEACH OR LAKE. ONE THING IT DOES NOT TELL YOU IS IF YOU PLUG IN YOUR HEADPHONES YOU HAVE TO TURN THE VOLUMN OFF TO LISTEN TO IT THAT WAY. IF YOU HAVE THE VOLUMN UP THEN THE PERSON WILL HERE WHAT YOU ARE LISTENING TO, THAT IS WEIRD.
Positive: The little boombox is very nice looking. It seems to play well. The size is convenient. Negative: The power cord seems to be a bit unstable and it was a bit difficult to get the iPod into the docking unit. It also has seemed to me for some time now that Apple products don't always have the best instruction manuals. They can be difficult to understand. It also came without batteries, which can be annoying to fine with a new purchase.
The radio stations don't come in very well unless the wind is blowing and I'm standing on my head holding a watermelon, if you know what I mean... The iPod part works very well. The cord constantly comes out of the back. Descent sound. Overall, for $25, I'd say it's worth it.
