I am really happy with the product. It's my favorite of the clinique-like equate products. I still have freckles but the spots on the back of my hand are disappearing, and my face discoloration disappeared.
I've tried many, and so many much more expensive dark spot correctors - and this is the best one yet. Yes I know it's Equate brand. I'm here to tell you that I have used products from left and right, and this is the best, least expensive there is. Unfortunately, there is a drawback: I cannot find it on WalMart shelves anymore, so I had to order it on-line.
Nice price, Good Product
I did not notice this product nor the clinique one to remove dark spots. But what I did notice is it helped my acne clear up and prevented new acne. Therefor not leading to more dark spots. I do have to use almost twice as much (two pumps instead of one) on my face. But since its a fourth of the price that doesnt bother me.
For the price, this is a great product. It does have a strong alcohol smell, and it tends to dry my face out rather than moisturizing it like the Clinique version does. I have very oily skin prone to breakouts at "that time" of the month, so I actually like the drying benefit. It helps control oil and acne in the summer months. During the harsher winter months I switch to the Clinique version. This product does fade spots, so I am a happy customer!
I'm very pleased with the packaging as it is the same concept as Clinique. For the serum itself, it has a sort of plasticky, alcohol smell and is a little sticky when applied to the skin, however the smell does go away eventually. I wasn't expecting it to the be exactly like Clinique since it is $30+ cheaper. So I would say it's not like Clinique at all but it is an ok product. I have also reviewed the other products of this line and I would say - if you're on a budget, it's not a bad alternative.
I just bought this product on 1/22/17 for $4.50!!! It was on the clearance table at Walmart. I only gave it 3 stars because I just started using the product. I took a before picture & hope to see a difference in 2 weeks. I like the silky texture of the lotion/serum. It does have a smell but doesn't bother me. If it works, then I scored & hopefully they still have more on clearance. If it doesn't work, well then I only lost about $5. Not bad.
None of these type products work very well - esp on larger, darker spots. Better than nothing and at least the Equate doesn't cost 2 arms and 2 legs.
I purchased this product with high hopes, having had good experiences with other Equate beauty products. Unfortunately, this treatment didn't live up to that expectation. It irritated and dried my skin, so much so it actually began to flake. Yuck! On top of which, it didn't even remotely fade the age spots on my face that aren't even that severe to begin with. Disappointed!
One whole bottle down and absolutely no results.
