The matching crib is much sturdier than this and the instructions for this were not nearly as good, but it's an attractive piece and will serve it's purpose for the few years we need it. The shelves inside seem a little flimsy so I don't think I'll be putting anything heavy inside, but perfect for diapers and blankets. Our knobs were missing but those are easy enough to replace. Looks great for the price though!
This product was fairly easy to put together. I put it together mostly by myself (at 7 months pregnant) in a couple of hours. All of the parts were there. It looks really cute in the nursery with the matching crib and chest. I really like this style because it doesn't look as much like a changing table as others. The quality of this product is about what you should probably get for the price. I found this product on Walmart's web site to be the cheapest in price. Its obviously not solid wood, but I'm sure it will work fine for us.
The assembly wasn't very easy. The finish scratches VERY easily. Once we got it together, it really looks nice in the nursery. It's not very noticeable that some of the parts don't come together perfectly.
I was surprised how flimsy parts of this dresser were when we began putting it together. Really for the cost of this item you would think that the shelves could at least be real wood and not that super thin particle board stuff you see in super cheap furniture products. Also, this thing was a pain to put together. It took my husband and myself twice as long to put this together as it did the crib. We were missing several screws and he had to go search for some replacements. The directions are not very good at all, and usually we have no problem with assembly items. Had I seen this item put together in a store I would never have purchased it.
