I'm picky about my furniture and I searched for a very long time to find an appropriate changing table for my daughter's room. I looked at all the ratings and reviews and finally decided on this one. I was not disappointed. This changing table is made of real wood, not particle board with veneer. It is incredibly heavy and solid; my husband put his whole body weight on it and it didn't even shudder. I can't believe we got such a nice piece of furniture for such a reasonable price. Of course, nothing's perfect. So, here are the issues we had: 1. The parts were well-packed and in good condition, but there were a ton of them and they were incredibly heavy. The directions were easy to follow but, again, there were a lot of them. It took us three hours to put together. I guess a good piece of furniture should have a lot of support, though, so maybe this was to be expected. 2. The hinges on the door are very difficult to adjust. I'm still not sure they're quite right (the door seems to be rubbing), so I'm going to have my mom look at it, as she has more construction experience than I do. * When I was shopping around, I had a hard time determining what was behind the door. It's three shelves. They are three different heights (11", 10.5", and 8") and they are not adjustable. * The color matches my Jamestown Crib (Black Cherry) nicely.
I love this dresser/changing table combo. Very good price, and MUCH better than I expected! Very sturdy, and also the drawers glide very smoothly and with ease. HIGHLY reccommend! Looks beautiful in our son's nursery.
So we purchased this with the expectations we were getting what we paid for. This piece is the exception, we purchased the matching crib and dresser too. This is super sturdy and took about 2 hours to put together. It looks really good and didn't have any problems with it what so ever. The only complaint once again is the pieces are not numbered and you can see into the drawers by looking at the front. Other than that it's great.
We love this dresser! It looks more expensive than what we actually paid for it, and its very sturdy. A few words of advice...when putting it together, the instructions are not as up to date as the parts. With a little common sense though, it is easy to figure out what is what. Also, put the door on BEFORE you put the back panel on (the instructions tell you opposite). We could have saved about 30 minutes if we realized this sooner. All in all though, it was fairly simple to put together, just time consuming, although it only took us 3 hours with the mistake. I would definitely recommend this product, with one minor adjustment. I bought new silver hardware because I thought the ones that came with it were a little plain. I think it adds a personal touch!
The dresser is great for what we paid. We'd been looking for a while and paid half of what we were expecting. The dresser looks great but the drawer and door looks like fake wood and has a red tone to it. We switched out the knobs with brushed nickel knobs and it really makes it look more expensive. I didn't put the dresser together (my husband did) but the instructions were horrible. None of the parts were labeled and it took them about an hour and a half. Overall I think the dresser is great for the price but the color/texture is deceiving.
The dresser/changer looks great in the room. According to my husband it wasn't too difficult to put together. I wish the drawers were a little deeper, but it looks like it will serve the purpose for a newborn. Think about buying baskets for the storage section, this will help keep things organized. No complaints except there were a couple of chips. But nothing out of the ordinary. I would recommend without hesitation.
This combo table is very nice and looks a lot more expensive than it really is. It was slightly difficult to put together for my mom and I since I'm 8 months pregnant, but we did manage to get it together in about four to five hours. The wood is kind of soft and could get dinged very easily. I did happen to have a cherry wood touch up marker that came in very hand with this combo table (because I accidentally whacked a small spot on it). When we first started putting this combo table together, it seemed as if it was going to be very flimsy, but it has turned out to be very sturdy and heavy feeling. I am very pleased with this product and give it 4 stars. I would have given it 5 stars because it really does look awesome (especially since we bought the matching hutch), but we did have a few issues with it. The directions were sporadic and it was in a thousand pieces. Everything was pictures only, and a few of the parts that were listed in the book weren't the same as what we were given. I'm sure the manufacturer updated the parts and forgot to update the instruction book. We also had a slight issue with the door fitting flush, though we adjusted the brackets and it worked itself out. There was also an issue with some of the cam-locks parts. They gave us exactly as many as we needed, and one broke during assembly, so we had to run out and get another one. I also bought silver knobs to replace the wooden ones, which really gave it a customized, classy look. I am extremely pleased with the way this product turned out and I am very happy we decided to go ahead and purchase this combo table, especially after the bad reviews from other websites nearly turned me off to it completely.
I use this changing table combo daily. The drawers are a little shallow for what I was expecting. It was also missing a few pieces that we had to order from storkcraft. They were great and did not charge any extra shipping. Overall the changing table looks great once assembled. I was not home when my husband assembled the unit but it took him two and half hours and he was not happy with the instructions, which he said were very poor. The pieces were not labeled and some of the hardware even needed assembling. I love the way it looks in the nursery and for the price you can't beat it.
I should have listen to the reviews but I took my chances. I ordered this unit and it arrived way before expected,which is a good thing however putting it together was a total nightmare! I had to call the missing parts number twice because the instruction and the product came from two diffrents places some parts where already attached to each other. A lot of the pieces were scratched and cracked, it was packaged pretty good so Im sure it was shipped from the manufacture that way. A lot of the pieces didn't line up correctly just a horrible experience in all.
At first this was a nice product and I liked it a lot! didn't take my husband too long to assemble it and it looked great for the money (of course when we got it 2 years ago it cost more). But as the past 2 years have passed it has been slowly falling apart! the bottom of the top drawer started to sag and i thought that maybe i had too much stuff in it so i took everything out and put just socks and some onesies it. that didn't help, eventually it sag so much that i had to remove everything from the top drawer and not use it. it would get cought on the middle drawer as i was opening it. this past week when i opened the middle drawer i noticed that the bottom of the top drawer fell out completely! and when i went to pull the top drawer out the front of the top drawer fell off! now i cant get the bottom back in and the front wont go back on. Also i have been having issues with the bottom drawer. it sticks and sometimes i cant even get it open! This dresser has been a complete disappointment! I almost cant use it at all! Now we have to go and get a new dresser for our son and with a new baby on the way we are also going to need a new baby dresser. I am not looking forward to making these big purchases but since this dresser isnt in good enough condition to be used again we have to get new!
