After reviewing many websites trying to find a chest appropriate for our first childs nursery this was by far the cheapest chest price wise we found out of 5 stores. We have assembled the chest which is a bit time comsuming but all the pieces were enclosed in the package and undamaged, we have not actually used this product alot yet: our first child is due in 4 weeks but based on this product so far it seems to be sturdy and the drawers and adequate size for storage. Looks great in the nursery!!
was a bit complicated to put together. I was able to do it myself. One thing not included in the directions that would be helful to use is a rubber hammer for wooden pegs that don't fit well. Very heavy, almost 100lbs. Finish seems a bit cheap. Seems like it will hold up and be very useful.
We bought this for our daughter's nursery. For the price, it's a pretty good piece of furniture. Seems very sturdy and drawers slide in and out without a problem. The drawers are are not too terribly roomy, but are just right for a baby or younger child. We got it through site-to-store and our only problem with it so far is that the front of one of the drawers is not perfectly lined up. But you can't notice unless you look at it carefully. We would have taken it back because of this, but didn't think it was worth taking it down after we had just built it. Looks just as sturdy as some of the $300+ dressers, so I would recommend it.
I was satisfied with this product because I didn't expect it to be a piece of fine heirloom furniture. It was quite a bit sturdier than most "throw-away" furniture that comes in a box and you put together yourself. It was reasonably easy to put together and the instructions were clear. The drawers slide smoothly and the dresser has an overall feel of being hefty and solid. Downsides are the pre-installed drawer slides were off a little, making the drawers not line up. Not a huge deal, I fixed it myself, but it would've been nice to have it come ready to go from the factory. Also, there was a sizeable ding in the back corner of the dresser top. Since its in the back I'm not going to bother with dealing with the company, but if it were somewhere more visible, I would. There were no scratches or dents in the finish anywhere else. Overall a decent piece of furniture for the price and definately higher than average quality for this kind of thing.
The dresser was a little difficult to put together. The directions can be kind of confusing. I put it together myself at 6 months pregnant, but required my husband's strength when putting the drawers together. It looks nice for the price, but I don't expect it to last forever. My son isn't due until April, so I don't use it that often yet. However, I think it will meet my expectations.
It was very time consuming to put together. The actual material was very poor quality. But I must say that I sort of knew that already so it didn't bother me too much. I was looking for something affordable and that's exactly what I got. So I can't complain about that. The only thing that I will complain about is that the drawers are very hard to open and close.
The overall quality was what you expected for the price. Was missing drawer support parts and top of furniture left gap when put together but for the price what do you expect. Didn't have time to send back after we got it put together before baby arrives. But if your looking for a cheap piece of furniture that you will not keep that long it is ok.
Assembly instructions were some of the worst I've used. Finally figured it all out. End result doesn't seem to be typical Graco quality. The dresser is also smaller than it appears in photos online. I should have paid closer attention to the dimensions. It's fine for my toddler, but I will have to purchase something larger when my child gets bigger.
We bought this for our toddler's room knowing that we could probably only get a few years out of it. We've purchased several other assembly required pieces and we've been much happier w/others. The drawers are always falling off the tracks and the whole dresser is a bit wobbly. My husband had to fix one of the drawers as the drill holes were not lined up properly. We thought seriously about returning this piece but we're in a time crunch so we figure we'll make do. Wouldn't buy another one.
we purchased the Graco Lauren Espresso Crib & changing table which were both lovely. Graco didn't make a Lauren dresser so we decided to go with this Christon dresser. BIG MISTAKE. The product arrived the day I gave birth which was bad for us! My husband attempted to put this thing together which had many missing pieces. the holes were not lined up right, pieces were coming unglued, there were many dents and damages in the wood. the worst part was there was a panel that had all the holes on the wrong side. it was a mess. we took photos and submitted them to Graco. we returned the product and purchased a dresser made by Baby Mod which matches the crib & table and is LOVELY.
