I love the height of this dresser. The drawers are of great quality and real wood. My husband had no problems putting the whole set together and it just looks so good. We have the matching crib and 3 drawer dresser, what we have also turned into a changing table. The whole set is wonderful together!
Sturdy..beautiful..easy to assemble..ordered site to store which I love...perfect condition on arrival..bought this and matching crib and 3 drawer dresser for my first grandchild..my daughter inlaw and son love it.. p.s. all the dresser drawers are roller glide..wonderful..
I am very happy with this dresser! It was so simple to put together, I believe we had it together in a half an hour. It's very sturdy and made of thick wood. I would definately recommend this product.
This was pretty easy to put together, and the instructions, while grammatically challenged, weren't awful. The top drawer piece didn't fit exactly right, but it wasn't way off, either. Once I finished putting it together (able to do so in about 2-1/2 hours, through some painful false labor, even), I had a nice, solid, attractive piece of furniture.
The Bassetbaby Cape Cod 5 Drawer Chest (Cherry) is a great value. The chest is very sturdy and is made almost entirely of solid wood, opposed to veneerer or engineered wood. The construction is very solid and appears to be very durable. The drawers slide in and out smoothly and effortlessly. The finish is excellent and what you would expect from the Basset brand. There were only two flaws with the entire gig: 1) Poor assembly instructions - they appear to have been created by someone who does not speak english as their first language. 2) Some of the holes were not pre-drilled as specified by the instructions. Both of these issues can be remedied by a drill, a small drill bit, and some common sense. Overall, the finished product is very nice and looks good in any environment. On top of that, the Walmart site-to-store option is great for saving money. Overall, I would highly recommend this product for the price.
This furniture set is in fact heavy and sturdy, but the only thing hubby and I were disappointed with was the drawer bottoms were still almost as flimsy as other brands we avoided. According to other reviews (since this was not on display in any store), we thought for sure even this would be better than the competition - it is, but barely. We took many other sets off of our list (which we found much more appealing to the eye) to get this set solely because of sturdiness. Our little girl isn't here yet, but I hope this set lasts her through her teenage years (that's why we bought a convertible crib set).
