Loved this chest of drawers ~ sturdy and rich in color. I got it for my mom who's in a nursing home. It's tall and holds a lot - drawers glide so she can get in and out easily. Not hard to put together but time-consuming. Plan on spending the evening. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws - it breaks the fasteners and the manufacturer doesn't include any extras - that's the biggest flaw with this product. Otherwise, we (and mom) are very happy!
The instructions on this stunk, but it looks really nice when finished. I think that to make it more stable you could get real wood for the back and bottom of drawers. The drawers do have specific places, but aren't marked...so you have to do a little switching around to find the way they fit best. Overall, it looks really pretty with the Graco Lauren crib we bought and should last our son a while.
I ordered this product for my daughter's nursery. It fit our budget and was the exact look I was going for. It arrived quicker than I expected. The bottom of one of the sides of the dresser had a slight dent but we decided not to order a new piece because it was very minor. As the other reviews stated the instructions were very confusing & it was easier just to look at the pictures to figure out the steps. Also one of the pieces didn't fit properly so we needed to kinda twist it in order to get it to fit. Other than that the product seems extremely sturdy & is a great value for the money.
The other reviewer is right in that the color is more of a deep cherry, which is what I wanted. The dresser was not too bad to put together, just takes some time. One of the drawer fronts was missing a piece, but I contacted the company and had a new one within a week. The drawers themselves are not very deep, but overall I think it is a beautiful dresser and am very happy with the purchase for my son's room. I also have the storkcraft lennox changing table in cherry and this dresser is very close in color.
I was very skeptical after reading the other reviews on here, but I bit the bullet and ordered the dresser, knowing that I could always return it. My husband and I teamed up and had it put together in about 45 minutes. It was pretty simple to do. There were a couple little issues. It was missing 2 small wooden dowels, but they had given us 2 extra of a different length so we were able to cut them down and use them. There were also 2 very tiny chips on one of the drawers, I colored them in with a black Sharpie and you can't even tell where they were. The dresser is beautiful all put together, everything works and it looks great with the rest of our furniture. Don't be discouraged by the problems other people have had, just get it... you can always take it back if it doesn't work for you!
The dresser contains a lot of pieces & it took my husband & I a while to put together. Once the dresser was assembled, it looked great with our other Graco (Lauren) baby furniture. The colors matched perfectly!! Overall, I am very pleased with the product & would recommend it.
I was unsure if I wanted to purchase this dresser or not. I had been looking for a dresser to match my crib (that took me forever to pick out lol) and saw this one that looked like it would match. I was nervouse about ordering it becasue of some of the reviews. True it was difficult to put together, my husbabnd and father-in-law did it in about 2-3 hrs it is very pretty. Better than I thought it would be, alot bigger too.
This was a nice product after I got it together. Granted, I am not the handiest person on earth but Im not exactly stupid either. There are some things in the instructions they could have told you before hand, instead you kinda have to take a guess, screw up and then fix what you did wrong. It was very tedious and stressful. Some niks on it but mostly in places that cant be seen. Definately a 2 person project.
Of course I was excited to assemble the dresser we will be using for our new baby, but we got mostly done with assembly, and there were two wrong parts that made it so we couldn't assemble the last two drawers. We called about it and they said they were on there way, but that was two weeks ago. Also, you assemble yourself, obviously, and there is a flaw in the design of the dressers. When you are securing the front of the dresser on, you have to insert screws, but the holes are too close to the edge of the dresser and it made the wood split in 3 different places on the front. I really feel like this was an expensive piece of furniture, and I think it should have been a better product than it was.
This product is very nice looking but we sent our first one back because the drawers had gaps when put together and they would not shut properly. We took our chances and have ordered a second one and we hope this one is better. Luckily we have until June to find a good dresser.
