I bought this dresser to use as a changing table and it is the perfect hight. It matches my Espresso Graco Stanton crib and the Espresso Graco Stages 5 Drawer Dresser. The dresser is long and spacious and can fit a changing pad plus have room for any extra decorations or room for a wipes warmer like I used the extra space for. Assembly took almost 2 hours, but the instructions weren't that difficult to follow. The dresser was not damaged when we took it out of the box as other have had problems with damaged parts or scratches and I'm sure the store would let you exchange it if that were to happen. Overall I am really please with the product!
Very happy with the product... was a bit dubious seeing all the complaints and horror stories re: damage during shipment, pieces not fitting together and color not being what one expected. I took the chance anyways and ordered. We put the piece together in less than 2 hours... (and that was with slacking off in between)... The piece is sturdy, good wood... none of that particle board stuff...The color is absolutely beautiful and matches with the Graco Lauren crib that I'd purchased as well. I like that when you pull out the drawer, the bottom of the drawer is the same color as well... I'm happy. :-)
I read the reviews before I purchased this item & I noticed a lot of complaints about the assembly. I ordered online (site to store) & when it arrived I asked if there was someone on staff that could assemble it for me and there was! He assembled it for free & we picked it up the following day! So easy & we absolutely love it! Thank you!
I was really skeptical buying this dresser after all the very negative reviews, but I didn't have many other options if I wanted to coordinate with my Graco crib and changing table so I thought I would give it a try and return it if necessary. I have a Graco Mason crib and changing table from Target (which I love) but wanted something to have a little more storage in. The dresser isn't the exact same color as the Mason espresso furniture (has even more red than the crib), but it is very close. The Mason collection isn't a true espresso either - there is some red in it. Overall the quality of the dresser seems very sturdy. It does provide a good amount of storage. I do have one complaint and that is that the dresser drawers only slide out about half way - so it's very hard to reach the back of the drawer and I think it's going to cut down on the amount of stuff that will fit in each drawer. I did think that the in store pick up experience was a pain. The staff wasn't very helpful and my husband had to wait 45 minutes to finally get someone who could help him. It was also a pain to put together - 3 guys took about 2 hours to do it. Overall, I still would recommend this product and I'm glad we got it.
we bought this dresser to use as a changing table, it is very nice looking, the dresser itself was easy to put together BUT the drawers had some issues. The bottom pieces that go in the drawers are too thick so they dont slid into the pieces correctly, we had to slightly modify them, but got in all together in about 2 hours. Would look better with stainless knobs, I think i will switch them out, other than that very nice looking and heavy duty, got shipped site to store which came in about 1 1/2 weeks, the only problem was they did not have anyone to help me out with it, my husband could barely lift it by himself and being pregnant I could not help him.
Dresser is exactly as I had hoped it would be. I am using this as a dresser and changing table. Perfect height for changing table. It is not top of the quality but still overall functional and easy on the eye. The color... I was expecting full fledged Espresso color but it definately has some red in it. Still very nice color.
The color is more of a cherry color that an expresso, so that was kind of dissappointing. I saw some of the reviews on this product and was very worried that something would be wrong with it, but I was very pleased with the condition the dresser arrived in. It is very difficult to put together! Everything is in seperate pieces down to the very last screw! It has taken me forever to get this thing put together, and I am still working on it! Hope it gets finished before the baby gets here. But like I said you get what you pay for, I would rather just go to a furniture store and pay more than try to assemble something like this ever again.
We got this dresser to go with the Graco Lauren collection crib. Most of the reviews I read said the wood stains didn't match- I figured for the price it was worth rolling the dice. Turns out the reviews were correct. The dresser has a definite red tint to it, where our crib is a true espresso. It's only really noticeable in direct sunlight. Overall, it's a nice inexpensive dresser. Assembly was relatively simple- it took my husband and I about an hour. One thing I found frustrating is that I couldn't find the dimensions anywhere on the website. It is about 4in. Shorter in length than our other childs dresser, which means you'll be tight on space if you use it as a changing table.
I know furniture is expensive, but if I'm going to pay good money for something, I would hope the materials it's made from would be worth it. This dresser looks very nice, but be careful not to rub up against it as it is easily scratched due to the very thin coating on it. I was disappointed to get the whole thing together to notice it alread had a scratch on it. I would only recommend it on the basis that the consumer understands that the product is essentially made of partical board with a cheap varnish covering and will likely be quite tattered once little ones are toddling around it with rattles, toys, and such.
The product arrived in terrible shape. We could not even put it together, it was so damaged. We returned it and plan to buy something else. I am disappointed because I had seen all of the other reviews reflecting shipping problems and had hoped that GRACO would have addressed them and packaged the product better. It's too bad, it seemed like it would have been a nice dresser.
