This dresser is exactly what we were looking for. Remember that you get what you pay for - the drawers don't slide perfectly and are not of the highest quality. They don't feel totally substantial when you open or close them - but the dresser looks great and is totally functional and will do perfectly for our baby's room. We are happy with the quality and value together.
This chest looks and feel very solid. Took about two hours to put together. Feels bigger than the specs say. Only problem is a small chip in it but nothing a little super glue and a furniture pen wont fix!
This item looks very nice but we were very disappointed that it came somewhat damaged..probably in transit there were marks to the surface and the drawers don't seem very sturdy..in fact somewhat wobbly. Like I said it looks nice and it will meet our needs but it seems quality has gone down for anything you buy it seems....
So I bought this dresser thinking it was going to be better quality although is cheap, well the quality is poor. It may look good from far away but looks aren't everything. While installing it my husband and I became very frustrated with the drawers. They were not rigid at all, the circle knots that tide the sides together wouldn't keep the drawer safe and study. We almost decided that it was a piece of junk and that we were going to return it. But for the sake of saving some money and time we kept it. What we did was we reinforced the drawers with real screws on the sides to keep them sturdy, so they wouldn't fall apart. The other thing I don't really like about this dresser is that there isn't that much space in the drawer, but hey is for baby clothes. I thought that maybe i would be able to keep this dresser for a long time but I'm sure is going to fall apart in the near future. Anyways if you want something cheap that looks good and will do its job for a little while buy it but if you would like a dresser that will last you till the kid is like 8 years old go somewhere else and buy one. This is what I could afford so oh well, I'll take care of it until it falls apart. I'm due in May 2011 so I haven't really used it with the baby and all its clothes yet. So wish me good luck!
It looks good, but don't be fooled. The thing assemblies so poorly based on the pre-drilled holes that it isn't square and the drawers fall off the track when pulled out. Also, I had 1 right drawer panel and 7 left panels, so I had to contact the company. They sent me the other panels free of charge but once I got the thing assembled I realized how poorly it fit together.
We bought this dresser understanding it wasn't top of the line but should be decent. Upon opening it the wood was assembled incorrectly and parts of the front of the dresser were actually paper that were falling off. I guess we will try another brand.
