We've only had this item for a few weeks, but have been very happy with it so far. While this is not a piece of fine furniture, that was obvious given the price and material of the item. However, this was the nicest looking dresser we found for the price. It is a good size for our child's clothing, matches the other cherry furniture items we have purchased, and was relatively straightforward to put together. Like all "assemble at home" items, it will take a while to put together (~2-3 hours). We did pick up at store versus delivery to home to save additional $ and also to limit the amount of truck transfers/opportunity for the components to become damaged.
This is a pretty good dresser for what it costs. A little pain in the neck to assemble, but well worth it at the end.
This dresser works very nicely for my daughter's nursery, the drawers slide in and out well....seemed to be fairly easy to put together (I don't know first hand, I watched my hubby put it together : ) ) BUT some of the pieces came already scratched up. There was a marker included in the box to color in some of the scratches, but did this get inspected before it was shipped out? Because some of those pieces shouldn't have been passed. I colored them in and they aren't as noticable now, unless you really examine it.
Good price, but hard to assemble. Pieces are hard to fit together and one of the bottom posts did not have a hole in it. I could not screw in the bottom piece due to the missing hole. Wood is nice but cheap manufacturing.
My husband and I have put together many pieces of furniture and this is BY FAR the most difficult! Once the dresser was out together (HOURS later) it matches the other furniture we bought for our sons room and I like how it looks but not sure if I would purchase again knowing what I know now about the assembly. Many of the screws didn't line up with the provided holes, etc etc...
We foolishly ignored other reviewers who said the chest was difficult to put together. It truly is! And it's easily damaged resulting in a discolored dresser. Also the chest was missing one of the back panels so it is currently incomplete.
