Where do I start? First off, the instructions for this thing were horrible. Lots of tiny pieces, none of them labeled, that one has to carefully match up best as they can to the pictures in the booklet. Then, there are some places for screws to go, that just don't have any screw holes. Once you start putting the drawers together, you have lots of places you have to "jimmy" the pieces to get them to fit together right, and even then, it's a flimsy set up. And then! You finally get through the frustration of getting the drawers and main unit built, and go to put the drawers in the main unit, and they don't fit! All of my drawers are lopsided, and that looks terrible, but the worst part is that the bottom drawers are too low on the runners and rub against the bottom of the frame badly. (Not to mention that, at this point, we found out one of the center drawer runners was broken.) In addition to all of that, the wood is very cheap, came with a bunch of cracks in it that we tried to overlook, and cracked in places when we tried to put screws in where there were no pre-drilled holes. So overall, cheap materials, poor workmanship, terrible instructions, and in the end, and overall ugly piece of furniture. I'm returning this ASAP and getting a dresser from RCWilley.
I was supremely disappointed when I opened the box & found so many pieces damaged in shipping. For the price I paid for this piece, I would expect much higher quality materials & workmanship. The drawer face veneering is peeling off & the 3 corners of the dresser top were smashed. The material appears to be either particle board or MDF, neither of which are suitable for that application. Initially I thought it was of benefit that the metal drawer slides came screwed to the dresser frame pieces. That was until I got the drawers installed & every one of them was ill-fitting. I will be returning this item immediately & would strongly recommend it & the Storkcraft brand be AVOIDED at all costs!
