I Love this dresser beautiful Espresso color very sturdy heavy material and was easy to put together the directions don't have words only pictures but all the parts and hardware are labeled it's common sense when you look at the instructions :) I put this together myself and was really easy there are many steps so it is a little time consuming but it's worth it
A great dresser for a nursery which will transition easily to another bedroom. Beautiful color, more like a dark cherry as others have said. Matches perfectly with the Gracco crib.
The box that was shipped was extremely heavy, with only a 8 months pregnant wife to assist, i had to assemble it in our front family room, one section at a time. Initially i was worried about assembly time due to the multiple pieces but actually i had the dresser (without drawers) assembled in half hour. The drawers took more time. Overall nice price,fairly straight forward assembly, classic look.
Like many others already reported, assembly is a bear! The instructions contain pictures only and would benefit from some spelled out directions. I have no complaints about the color, as others have. Overall, its a nice dresser for the price. I would probably love it more if it hadn't taken hours to assemble.
I was worried when the box arrived because it was open. I guess that was more of a shipping and handling problem. The dresserwas a perfect match to my daughter's Graco Lauren crib in Espresso!!! I couldn't ask for more. Now assembly wasanother story. Directions were a bit unclear. Once it was completed it was well worth the wait and work my husband and his friend put in. :)
It took me about 3 hours to put the thing together by myself. All it takes is a few different screw drivers and a hammer. I found the picture-based directions adequate, but I could see it being somewhat difficult for those not very mechanically inclined. It feels pretty sturdy, and the drawers function well. The fake wood coating covering the particle board is thin and will scratch off if not well cared for, but this dresser looks very nice when complete. It is more of a dark cherry color, and not a brown/espresso.
We chose this out dresser based on the needs of our budget. It is a pain to put together but it's a beautiful piece. Unfortunately, we noticed 2 broken pieces and had to request new parts. That process has taken almost 2 weeks now. If you do order this dresser, cross your fingers that it comes to you in good condition!
This product like most said was a nightmare to put together, the instructions are just pictures, which really get confusing, the wood is cheap and we ended up having to make our own holes just to get the thing together. I was originally attracted to this drawer by the price but it was not worth the headache of having to put together
This 6 drawer dresser was pure torture to put together. The pre-drilled holes didn't line up correctly on a lot of pieces. The finished product after several hours of heck was just okay. The drawers didn't align perfectly as I had expected. My baby is due in two weeks so it'll have to do for now. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it matched the Graco Rory crib we purchased perfectly! If I knew then what I know now I definitely wouldn't have purchased it!
Opening the box, we immediately found a key structural wood component snapped completely in half. Since there was no noticeable damage to the box nor to the Styrofoam packing encasing the product we believe that this part had been packed broken by Graco's distributor, LaJobi. *** An indicator of poor overall quality? *** As instructed, we contacted the LaJobi (Graco's distributor) customer service number - only to be told that this product was DISCONTINUED and REPLACEMENT PARTS CANNOT BE SHIPPED. While this lack of quality assurance is inexcusable, itself, the more frustrating issue is that not once did the LaJobi customer service representative apologize for the broken part nor did she offer any sympathy that we - as new parents - had to invest our time and effort lugging a heavy, now-unpacked, box back to the local store. While we do not typically write these reviews, these felt compelled write this one. All we simply ask is that someone takes responsibility for the products sold. It may well be a decent product - IF YOURS ARRIVES INTACT AND WITHOUT MISSING/BROKEN PARTS - if not, be prepared for poor customer service and a trip back to the store. *** If you are reading this review, my guess is that you are also a concerned parent that has much better things to do than spend your time dealing with broken parts and returns! ***
