I got this bath for my baby shower. I really liked the fact that it grows with the baby. I had a bit of trouble the first time I used it (it leaked) so i did some research on the net to see what other moms had to say. The trick is to push down really hard in the middle of the bath like it tells you to untill it clicks "it must click" So all in all, it's a great product, I wouldn't spend money on a more expensive one.
I had read a review on this tub from another site that stated this tub has a tendency to leak. Despite the review, my husband and I boughtthis tb because it "grows with our baby," it is collapsible, and it comes with a washcloth and a sponge. We have found that if assembled properly, the tub does not leak, and when you put the infant sling into the tub, it does have a place for the baby to lie down. We also use the whale shaped spong to put our baby on, so that she does not slide around in the tub. Considering how expensive infant tubs are ($26+), especially tubs with similar features, I say this tub is worthwhile if you are trying to not spend too much.
We started using this tub when our son was 6 months, we put it in the big tub. He cried at first but I think he was scared of the new surroundings. After awhile he started to enjoy baths again. I place the sponge whale over the bump in the middle, it seems more comfortable. The fabric on the backrest is easy to take off and wash. This wasn't my first choice but it gets the job done.
The sponge part is wonderful for sponge baths. Very comfy for baby.But the tub itself is strange. The water leaks out because it comes in two pieces that fit together. So we have to fill the bathtub up 1/4 of the way and then put the baby tub in to help keep the water in. There also is a bump in the middle that can get uncomfortable for the baby if you don't watch the way you lay her down in the tub. The little water container is very useful, though.
i normally dont write reviews, but i need to on this tub. i got mine by my request. and it leaked and even though it folded up it was still bulky and hard to store. i retured mine and got something that i needed. i found it just as easy to wash my daughter in the sink. dont buy or register this product.
I have never reviewed a product on this or any other site. But feel the need to save somebody else the hassle of dealing with this useless tub. It leaks like crazy, the sling is supposed to snap into some notches that aren't there and the overall design leaves a lot to be desired. I mean what infant wants to sit on a raised seam in the middle of his tub? Save yourself some money and hassle.. just don't buy it!!
I liked all the accessories. I do not like the tub so much. It leaks all over the place. I acutally would just give a sponge bath in the tub so that the water wouldn't go all over the place as much if I was using it on the counter. It is okay if you just leave it in the regular tub but I always end up adding more water to the tub because it leaks so much. I recommend buying another tub.
This tub did not leak so much as pour out all over the counter and floor. The whale sponge was nice for the first week or two but when it came to using the tub, I was extremely disappointed. We never even used the tub itself, only the sponge, the pour cup and the wash cloth.
I was so excited when I regiestered for this tub. I recieved it at one of my showers. I couldn't wait to use it, but when I did it leaked everywhere. We have made sure that it was locked good, but it still leaked. I thought just it was a defect so I exchanged it (no receipt) for another one - but it leaks also. We have to keep a towel folded under it and manually dump the water out. I am very disappointed. I was so happy that it grew with the stages of my baby and for such a great price. Now I am stuck with a tub that I cannot return.
I received this tub as a baby shower gift and was very excited, until the first use. IT LEAKS EVERYWHERE, even when securely checked, and rechecked, also it is way to much of a hassle to take it "apart" for its so called easy storage, I ended up throwing it away and getting a new one because of how frustrating it is, It may be inexpensive but just spend the extra 10 dollars and get a good one worth having.
