I am replacing 37 year old Rubbermaid containers with these modular ones. I just love how they hold the same 21 cups of flour and sugar with half the space the old ones took up!
Please don't discontinue these!! They are the best containers by far! I have been using them for a few years now to keep my pantry organized and I find more uses for them everyday! They even keep marshmallows fresh longer than any other container I have owned. They stack and fit well together and maximize storage space!!!
I bought 4 about 10-12 years ago. I liked them so much I bought several more 4 years ago. I still love them and bought even more recently. The newest ones have cup markings. The biggest one says 18 but then there is a tad bit of room at the top but the lid goes down into the top so the container may not be exactly 21 cups. It will hold a lot, a large to giant box/bag of cereal unless the cereal is bulky like Mini Wheats or OHs. I love the fact that the container does not have to be empty to add sugar or flour. I do dump the old and put new in the bottom and replace old back on top. It easliy holds 8 lbs of sugar or 4 lbs of powdered sugar, 7 lbs of flour. The grip is a little wider, but I do NOT like the cereal container like this for freshness. My elderly mom does have trouble gripping these but just uses 2 hands and grumbles. lol. I definitely recommend this and am on my way to order some more. I almost have all I need in every size now. These are the perfect depth for the average cabinet.
It seals well, and holds a lot.
Just what I needed for my brown sugar!
It's PERFECT for my needs. I have two dogs and wanted to keep smaller containers for their food on our counter. These hold a lot and are just what I needed. They would be good for cereal and many other products. They seal really well and I'm very very happy.
I use them to organize the grains and flours in my cupboard. They're a great size and they fit well. The tops are secure but not difficult to remove.
Good quality name brand containers at a decent price, seem to seal well and keeps the critters away from my dry goods I have stored in the pantry.
My wife wanted to replace old containers in pantry with at least 20 cup capacity containers. This was the best find from capacity, quality and price perspective, she could find only one in local Walmart store though, we ordered a few more from Walmart's website. She liked it very much, she asked me to buy more, I ordered more online again but only limited quantity was available!!! She was a bit disappointed and it seems it is no longer available online :-( . After a while, luckily she found remaining quantity from the store. This is such a wonderful product, why is it so difficult to find? Not sure. In case you are looking for this product, its availability seems questionable, so I suggest buy all you need at once. We were able to find all we needed and I hope you can too.
Order was fulfilled by OverstockDrugstore, not Walmart. They shipped by a company called First Mile. Package arrived 2 weeks late. In the mean time, I found the same item for half the price at ACE Hardware and got it in 3 days by FedEx.
