Allows your child some independence!

We've only had this gate for a few weeks and love it! My 2 1/2 year-old son is so proud when he opens it for himself or for someone else when going into his room. I love the fact that it doesn't automatically shut, so we can leave it open when we don't need him secured in his room. The set-up was simple (our previous gate had a similar set-up, so we didn't require instructions) - easy enough to take down and put back up daily if needed. I would recommend this gate to anyone - well worth the $$!

Best Baby-Gate!

We've had it for a quite few weeks now and we are more than happy with it. We have recommended it to all of our friends with kids, especially ones with babies and 3yrs plus kids. My 3yr old and I installed the gate in about 30 minutes. We have an old house so door openings are not standard. It is in a very high traffic area... in doorway of playroom. It seems to be holding up well despite my 3yr old son climbing on it from time to time, and he just likes pressing the button to make the door open. I like that he can let himself in and out (ie potty training, etc) while I tend to the 1-year old. I would definitely recommend and I can't imagine how you could get by with one of the other multiple gates we have floating around the house and in storage (my 3-yr and sometimes me had difficulty opening and securing other gates and their locking mechanisms... this way is SO easy and the little LED light lets you know when the door is closed and locked.) This is great if you need security for infants and usability for small but able children. And Walmart has the best price I've seen, too.

Helps keep my son off the steps

We bought this gate in order to keep my 6 month old son from climbing up the stairs. It works. I also like that the gate is a neutral color which blends in with my decor. The gate was easy to install and we have had no mechanical problems with it. I also like the hands free function. It makes it easy to open the gate even when my hands are full. The gate also works well for my two year old son because he can not work it; therefore, he can not go up the steps without my knowledge.

This baby gate is GREAT! How many times do we come down the stairs carrying the baby and the bottle and the pacifier...hands full! All you need is a free elbow to open this gate. We love it! We did have a little plastic piece break on the gate, but evenflo customer service was excellent and had a new one to us in 5 days-free of charge! We are thoroughly pleased and would absolutely recommend this gate to all of our friends and family!!!

Very nice and sturdy gate, I had it up in about 5 min. The only problem is that it resets all the time, very annoying especially at night when you are trying to put the kids to sleep. We have found that if you don't use the remote as often it doesn't reset as much.

I wanted to control the movement of my 10 month old but not that of my 3 year old. Additionally, I did not want to be called every time my 3 year old needed to get passed the gate. This product allows the older child to release the gate with the touch of a button (loves to play with it too much sometimes) and I can go on doing whatever without hearing "Mom". Love it!!!

I love this gate. It meets and exceeds all my needs in a gate. It looks nice and is very easy to use. It holds up very well to 2 babies standing on it and shaking it. I would highly recommend this gate.

This gate is great! The best part is that my 4 year old can open it but my 18 month old cannot. Works great, I'm ordering another one for upstairs!

this gate is very sturdy, more so than it looks in the picture. very easy and convienent to just push the button to open. we were surprised that is is a wireless unit! my only complaint is that it has to be completely level to function properly. so if you know it out of place the gate constantly clicks to let you know that is not level. it was pricey but to us worth the money

Safety Issues

This product was great for the first 3 months that I had it. However, it began to lock and unlock itself without warning. I promptly replaced the batteries in both the gate and the remote and the problem continued. I finally removed the batteries and purchased another gate. Think carefully before you buy!
