Has brought hours of enjoyment to our 5, 9, and 11 year olds as well as us, the parents. Very sturdy product. Good maneuverability. Not sure of the water feature since it was purchased during the winter and have not been able to utilize that function.
I got this for my four year old because I had ridden a adult one a few weeks earlier and was hooked. They are easy to assemble as a majority of the vehicle is pre-assembled. As I searched around for this type of vehicle Wal-Mart beat the price by close to two hundred dollars, as priced at other stores. I purchased the Green Machine as well (Adult Tri-wheel) so we could ride them together. It is great exersise and an enjoy toy for the two of us. We have 12 nieces and nephews all under the age of 6 and they seem to be the hit for both the kids and adults whenever we have family functions. This is a great toy and worth every penny.
Bought this for my youngest (7) birthday present and he loves the thing. Half the neighborhood kids cant wait to get on it and ride around the yard. Had to send the first one back as the water sprayer did not work. However, walmart sent me another one and it worked just fine. Was kinda worried at first as I read about it taking so long to put together. This was put at ease though, as it arrived mostly together. Did take a few tools to put together but had it ready to ride in less than thirty minutes. It does not come with any tools to assist so you might want to make sure you have a ratchet set and allen wrenches as you will need both. All I can say is the boy LOVES it and thats all that matters!
If your kid is on the small side for their age, this is the Green Machine for them! It has a 16" (vs 20" ) front tire, shorter wheel base, higher seat back, and a bonus shooting water tank (which helps prevent flip-overs when they spin out since it adds weight onto the back on the vehicle). It also pedals backward, unlike the new 20" Green Machine. My sons just turned 5 and 8 and they love it!
I was surprised when I picked this up that the box was so heavey. I expected a light weight plastic toy. It is built well and assembly wasn't too bad. My husband never complained!! The front tire is actually an inflated rubber tire which gives great traction and the back wheels are smooth so you can do all of the great stunts. My son is small fo his age and has some growing room in this but his 10 year old sister is a little too tall. The h2o water shooter is a fun bonus!
I bought this toy for my 9 and 6 year olds and they LOVE it!! It says it's for boys, but my 6 year old daughter really enjoys it too...it's definitely for both! All the kids in the neighborhood want one now, and their parents think they are really cool too. Even my 3 year old likes it. Since she can't reach the pedals, she just stands next too it and squirts people as they go by. It provides hours of fun and exercise. I think the water squirting feature is a terrific improvement to the originial Green Machine. The directions for putting it together aren't very clear. It took a while to figure it all out. The front wheel design is also poor. You have to put air in the front tire, but the nozzle isn't easily accessible. I had to take the wheel covers off to get to the nozzle and then use an electric pump. A bike pump didn't work. Once you get it all together though, it is really terrific. I highly recommend this toy. The effort to put it together is well worth the fun your kids will have playing with it!
I bought this product for my 6 year old son about a month ago. He hasn't stopped playing with it and rides it endlessly. I haven't seen him have this much fun with a toy in a quite a while. The attention from the other kids in the neighborhood certainly helps. The product requires considerable patience to put together. The directions are overly simplistic with too few diagrams. It would be so simple for Huffy to put more effort into the instructions. The product also came with a few missing bolts. Rather than bring the product back, I made a trip to Home Depot to pick up a few pieces of hardware. I'm certainly happy that I bought the product, but disappointed that the quality was so poor.
We bought the Green Machine H2O on the internet and had it shipped to the store (for free). It is a total nightmare to put together and the instructions are not good. It's partially done for you and the instructions are basically a diagram of parts. We were missing two key screws. Blowing up the tire, for example, was tough because it would have been best to do before that particular part was assembled. Having said all this, once the bike is together, it's awesome! Our son loves to ride it. The water shooting part is cool. It should last for a while.
This is a good toy for kids, kind of hard to navigate but overall pleased with it. Was not as happy with the site to store option, thought for sure that it would have arrived much sooner then it did. The only thing that I do not like about it is when putting together, my husband who can put anything together even had issues with it.
My son is well within the age range for this green machine and he is not unusually tall, but he is sitting at the most distant seat setting. He will not be able to use this for as long as the recomendations suggest. Other than that it is alot of fun and he loves the water sprayer! Great fun for warm days, but also fun without water when it is cooler out.
