high air pressure with little effort

this pump is hands down, the best for the money, i topped off my tires which take 80 psi and it worked great with little effort. and anyone who has had a portable pump might tell you that 80 psi is difficult to get too, the base that rest on the ground is does all the work. keep in mind that some pumps are arm up to seal to the tube, and some are arm down. this pump is an arm down to seal to tube and arm up tp attach it and remove it from the tube. i use a brass presta valve adaptor, but i just tested the plastic one included and it seemed fine, maybe dont put it all the way in to the hose, i just set it in the hose half way. i have biked for 23 years.

it is the easiest pump to get real air pressure without having to have hydrolic arms or a stand up air pump. i fix my own flats. i dont use the glueless; patches i use glue and patches. also i use, a real brass presta to shrader valve adapter; (which can be purchased form a bike shop or sporting goods store that deals in bikes.) but hello! i pumped not one tire but two tires to 80 psi and did not even break a sweat, thats a pump. the most i got from my other hand held was 40 psi without serious effort and i mean serious, if your putting too much stress on something your probably doing something incorrectly, always test the equipment before having to depend on it. some pumps are (flip up to seal to the valve) and some are (flip down to seal to the valve) so if you tried to force it on the valve without fliping the arm up you may have breaking issues. this pump arm has to be up when attaching it to the valve and down to beging pumping, and back up to remove it from the valve a three step process. i say the pump is great for male of female weak or strong. the pump will get the high pressure required in faster tires, which is great when you consider, having to ride on a under inflated tire can comprimise the rim. bell tries to make a quality product even if they have to work out a few things, i hope this line of pump stays around for a long time; if, it continues to be a working piece of equipment.

I found it easy to attach to frame of bike, mounting bracket seems pretty sturdy and the pump has worked well the few times I have used it. I'm surprised that it doesn't get better overall ratings - I put a lot of weight on product reviews when I'm looking for something..

The mount is designed to be attached using the factory screws/holes (usually securing and underneath the water bottle) to the frame of the bicycle. I've used it four times, each time working as expected.

Extras--but why?

Pump works fine, but attaching it to the bike is a puzzle. Has little plastic container--which I could not open--for patch. Has fittings for presta and for filling beach balls (but who needs it on a bike?). I'd buy a simpler pump, count on feel for pressure till I could get to a guage--or bring a guage of my own. I don't need all the other "freebies".

The instructions on the package states, "remove presta adapter and attach mounting bracket to bike frame". I cannot figure how in the world to attach it to the frame. The pump seems to work. Just can't attach it to the bike. The pictures showing the the bracket on the frame are useless.

Doesnt Work

My wife sent me this pump to me in Iraq. It doesn't even slightly work. The O-ring on the inside of the barell is so undersized it doesn't touch the sides to allow pressure to build. Completely useless and a waste of two weeks time and shipping costs.

Bought it at my local store. The first time I used it, the locking lever broke when trying to attach it to the "cheapy" plastic Presta valve adapter that comes with it. Returning it today. (I hate Plastic, whatever happened to METAL!)

The worst product that I have received from Walmart. The product was shipped in a very large box and when I opened the box I was shocked to see that the pump was very small and was not what I thought I was receiving. I am taking this product back to store for a refund.

I love the fact that you can see the pressure as you pump it; however the presta valve is poorly made, the locking lever broke the first time and the mounting bracket is poorly designed. Test the locking lever in the store before you buy it!!!!!!!!!!
