We live at 9000 ft in the NM mountains. This coffee pot is designed for high-altitude & is the only one I have found that really works at such an altitude. This is our third one in about 18-20 years and all of them have worked really well. I would highly recommend this coffee pot to anyone wishing to buy a new one - whether a high altitude pot or one for regular users. We have had both. You won't be sorry.
Bought this Bunn as a Christmas gift for our daughter. Purchase based on my own Bunn coffee maker of which I have had for 3 years with no problems. Makes excellent restaurant style coffee in your own home.
This is an excellent coffe maker for people who get the first time, after you fill it of water you need to wait until the water is hot before make the coffe. But this coffe maker is excellent.
I had thought about trying another coffee maker since retiring and not needing it to make fast. But had a Bunn for years and to old to change now! Perfect cup every time.
Works great at 8300 feet. Love hot coffee quick in the morning. This is one of four Bunn makers I have in Colorado and Florida. No problems.
Bunn coffee makers are the best. I have used them for many years and wouldn't have any other kind!
I purchased this product because I live at about the 5000 feet level. It is hard to make a good cup of coffee at higher altitudes. This is a great coffee maker.Id
The high altitude model is loud while heating and the decanter leaks terribly when pouring (spout too small). I contacted bunn and they say the loudness is not normal and that they had a mishap on the decanter. They are sending me a new coffeemaker and decanter. I'll let you know if any changes occur. I had a 1995 bunn high altitude for 15 years and it was quiet, good decanter (in fact, i'm using the old decanter now until the new one arrives). I'm not recommending this model until I check the new one out.
The coffee maker used twice the coffee as my other coffee makers to brew the same 10 cup batch. I returned it.
